  1. Am now regularly seeing 40-41mpg from mine. My new regular commute up and down the M1 from J12 to J1 and back again in the evening. Thats sitting at 70 pretty much all the way. Have been really impressed with the figures since moving.
  2. Actually going to be staying in the old Plymouth Naval dockyards, but going to see Polhawn fort over the other side of the sound via the ferry. Staying down for a few days to do some sight seeing while we're at it too.
  3. Hi Jason. Wasn't sure I would be myself, but the temptation was just too much. Going to be down your neck of the woods (well nearby anyway) at the end of the month. Going to Cawsand to check out a fort that Steff and I are thinking of using to get married in.
  4. Cheers. Enjoying the car even more than I thought I would. It feels good to be back in a Skoda. Will try and get along to some meets again soon and catch up with some peeps.
  5. Well hello there once again. I'm sure a few of you may remember me from my previous times as a Skoda owner. I have now got rid of the Hyundai Coupe and got myself a mk1 Octy vRS. It's a 2002 car, but is pretty low mileage with 56k on the clock and full Skud service history. I'm really looking forward to getting back into the whole Skoda ownership again and all that goes with it. It already feels like an old glove. Looking forward to catching up with some old and some new faces.
  6. Here's a couple more for you all. My old Fabia with the 2 different stages it went through. 17" Black Wolfrace Voodoo 17" KEI Flight in Hyperblack
  7. I've been trail-braking while pushing on or on track days for quite a while now. Was a technique I picked up back in my karting days and it's just stuck with the car too. Have always prefered driving with a light tail end when pushing on or racing. Is easier to carry on driving fast with a bit of oversteer than understeer. One of the people I've seen racing recently who uses it to good effect is Lewis Hamilton, especially at Monaco. Reminds me of my style when karting.
  8. Apart from Troy Bayliss at Australia last year on the Ducati.
  9. Looking forward to seeing how he does as he is a class rider. Just not so sure how the Tech 3 team will be next year. Hope they do get what they have promised. A 2008 Yam with Michelins would be great for JT, but if they get this years bike and stay with the dunlops, they'll be left behind again. Can't help thinking the D'antin Ducati option wouldn't have been a better bet.
  10. Cheers guys. It's great to be back. The Coupe is actually quite difficult to get parts for, but everything is available. Big things planned for it, but pretty much everything has to be sourced from the states. So could take a while. Anyway, best get back to work. Catch up with everyone later.
  11. That would be me then. I used to be a bit of a forum whore. lol. Now I'm only on the Hyundai Coupe forum and now back on here again.
  12. Here's a couple of pics of the current steed.
  13. Hey peeps Some of you may remember me and others obviously won't. Been away for a while now and it's changed quite a bit in here. Been away from the car scene for about a year or so now, but still hasn't stopped me tinkering. Since the yellow soot chucker, I have had a Scooby, which I absolutely hated I must add after the Fabia and my current car which is lovely, a red Hyundai Coupe V6. So far the mods have been restricted to a stainless cat back system and a Pipercross induction kit, so the sound track from the engine is a bit better. Other than that a set of black Inovit Redline wheels sit in each corner to give it a bit of menace. It'll be good to get back into the swing of things and get back to some track days too. Cheerio for now peeps, but look forward to becoming a regular again.
  14. Hello all. It's good to be back after so long away. Nick, I haven't tried it on track yet, but I would have to say yep. Different way of driving and took me a while to realise there was more than just 4500rpm.
  15. Well Steff has got her first car and it just happens to be a Skoda, so although I am no longer and owner, she now is. Picked up this little beastie yesterday morning. Nice little '95 Felicia LXi. Not at all bad for what we paid for it.
