  1. I want to install the new, long throttle pedal from the new gen Octavia/Golf/Leon/A3 etc to my Octavia 1. Anyone done it? TIA
  2. Yes, that's the one. Price around 1600 Euro here in Greece. I'll get the codes and details when I can this weekend.
  3. Installation of KW3 on the Combi 4x4 gives a lot of negative camber after lowering. The car looks gorgeous but given the lack of camber adjustment of the rear wheels it is quite a problem both in terms of tyre wear and car handling. Now, I read that for lowering the car you'd better buy the adjustable links from Forge for 250GBP. However given that this is quite an expensive solution, has anyone tried anything else? Are there alternatives? I was toying with the idea of exchanging the position of the upper and lower links. I'd presume the camber when the car is static would be better than what it is now, but have no idea how it'd behave in body roll conditions (i.e handle). Any ideas, experience? Thanks in advance.
  4. It's a fabia platform so whatever goes in there goes in the Yeti. Although it will be built on the next gen platform, still, the 2.0FSI not very probable.
  5. Funny thing is Audi quotes new turbine, pistons etc for the 20 hp increase of the DTM over the standard 200hp of the 2.0TFSI. Could this be? I'd presume a simple and conservative remmap would do the job. So what is Audi talking about?
  6. Hold on, it's a 0.19Cx (drag coefficient) people carrier, not a sportscar. So I see no problem, on the oposite, it might not look great, but it has a strong point for what it is: aerodynamics.
  7. No the ESP cannot be retrofitted unless you spend another buckload of money. You better order it with ESP. Experience of most 2wd +200 hp cars says you will need it.
  8. Here in Greece, the local Skoda importer is also the ABT rep. So they offer a chipped version of either the 4x4 or the RS for 800GBP but with full 2 year warranty. 2 years ago it appeared as a good idea, and it is quite a performance chip (217bhp). Today you can have the same perfromace for half the price if the warranty is of no concern. As for the pic, yes it's quite old, but then again my car is two years old as well. So who knows...
  9. No clue, but given the lack of new Octavias I'd guess it's not new. It popped up in my mailbox, apparently some sort of a circular.
  10. It's the road slope (for draining the rain). Same car creeps to the left in UK but to the right in Germany. It keeps straight here in Greece, but we have no slopes, wait, we have no rains, erm, actually we have no roads lol Can't be the car can it? The slope is obvious too.
  11. Well, there's plenty of space left around the handle as long as you care to pull it when you need it (i.e parking). Otherwise you might mess things up a bit, but even then I think you'll get used to it (and aim better). Anyhow, like I said, it's only suited for small sized spectacles, so beware and try before you buy. Once fitted it will leave two holes behind when removed, so make sure you really want it.
  12. Denis you're fast!! 1U0 857 465 B spectacles holder 47H onyx 1SQ beige I thought onyx is black(ish) And I'm quite sure it comes with a couple of torx screws: N 906 986 03 torx socket head panel screw
  13. This is the standard Octavia I glass holder next to the handbrake. However it can only hold really small spectacles, so make sure you try it before you buy it. I could not push my RayBan Balorama in it and although I ordered it, the dealer did not ask me to buy after the test. Let me try and locate the part number. Oh and it is a bolt on, so no need to change the console.
