Hello , a careless teenager run into my car (Fabia Sedan 2004) while it was parked at night , he damaged the right rear side of the car I attached some pictures of the incident , do you think the bumper can repaired , or it needs replacement ? What about the rear light do I have to change the whole cluster or the cover is sold separately ? I also started to hear some noise coming from the right rear side while driving over road bumps I made an eye check , is it normal or it indicates a damaged rear shock absorber ? I would like to know what do you think before taking it into a repair workshop

Hello , My Octavia MK2 1.6 MPI Elegance is delivering very poor air conditioning performance , the factory fitted compressor failed years ago and was replaced with a non-genuine one (a compressor for an old Mercedes E300 w123 I guess) and it worked perfectly for years Last summer , performance became poor and it was tested by an expert who suggested: 1. Changing the compressor (very expensive) 2. To do what he called "a stimulation of the compressor" which I had no idea what it meant , we chose the second option and enjoyed a cool summer This year the problem is there again , but this time I did the diagnostics myself, I got the following results in brief: 1 – 1 External Temperature 29.7 °C 9 – 0 Evaporator temperature 2.0 °C 10. Evaporator Temperature Actual 10 – 0 Evaporator Temperature 18.6 °C 10 – 1 Liquid refrigerant pressure 6.4 bar 10 – 2 Liquid refrigerant temperature 20 °C 11. AC Compressor 11 – 0 Power set point 82 mA 11 – 1 Power actual 82 mA 11 – 2 Power maximum 82 mA 11 – 3 Compressor PWM 84 Digital (0-200) 11 – 4 Power offset compressor 9 11 – 5 Power value 45 Digital 11 – 6 Compressor code 0 When I turn on/off climatronic the rev counter (RPM) slightly increases/decreases and the fan operates normally 1.Does the diagnostic values indicate any failures of the compressor ? 2.What is causing the evaporator to have such a high temperature (18.6 C while set point in 2.0 C) ? 3. Is the refrigerant pressure normal (6.4 bar and increases to about 7.2 while the car is moving at low speeds) ? 4.What kind of "Stimulation" was performed last year to make the compressor works more efficiently ? 5. Finally , if fitting a new compressor is inevitable , what is the estimated cost of a non-genuine second-hand compressor in USD ? Any help would be much appreciated , thanks in advance Best wishes

I forgot to mention that the car mileage is 90000 miles (145000 km) is it normal to get a new CC at this mileage ? a new CC costs about 250 USD is it reasonable ?

Hello , Recently my fabia 1.2 HTP 2004 started to perform horribly both in acceleration and going top hill After an investigation by a skoda technician we found out that the catalytic converter is clogged probably because of overheating Anyway since it is expensive to buy a new one he used a hammer and a nail to break the content of the CC and reinstalled it as a metal container with no ceramic or other content The car returned to its full performance but ... Should this lead to any other problems concerning other parts ? (dont care about legal problems because here in Syria CO2 emissions are among last things the goverment would care about) Have anyone tried to drive his fabia without a CC ? Did he get any troubles ? Actually in my country the driver is responsible for the front passenger , but recently the police is getting so stern in applying this regulation , so people are not used to seatbelts and they may forget about it and it is actually the car importers' fault because they used to exclude the warning light from their car orders' specification

My car is not fitted with seatbelt warning light ! Does anyone know if it can be fitted at local workshops or it is only fitted at factory and I'm wondering what are the components of such a system especially for the passenger seatbelt warning light (I guess it has a weight sensor) It is annoying not to have that warning light , my friends always forget to fasten seatbelts while with me , I guess they do it on purpose to put me in trouble with police

Oh yes it is 12v (12 valve) I wish it was a V12 ! They checked the compression it is OK , the car is working fine now but if the problem occured again I guess I will have to check the cylinder heads thank you guys for the help

Thanx i'm at the workshop they are changing the 3 coil packs plus one of the injectors (for about 300 usd) but they say if the problem persists they will have to deal with cylinders and will cost me a fortune

Dear All , I have Fabia Sedan 1.2 V12 2004 and it has been running for 92000 KM (57000 Miles) I purchased the car brand new from the dealer 5 years ago and since then it suffers this serious problem occasionaly: When I start the engine it starts to tremble and the RPM will refuse to cross 2000 even when maximum throttling , it seems that one of the 3 cylinders is not getting fuel it is useless to restart the engine or wait for it to warm up , the problem will be over after an unspecified period of time and the car wil run again normaly sometimes I lift the engine cover and hit injectors slightly and the problem is solved but not always The amazing thing is that this problem follows no time pattern it happens once a year or once a month or twice a week , but sometimes it causes major embarrasment if I'm outside town or with other people I took the car many times to service but the diagnosis computer shows no faults , injectors are periodicaly cleaned , fuel filter regularly replaced at the authorized workshops at the workshop they suggested that the problem maybe within the car computer , but I doubt it , and most 1.2 v12 Fabias suffer the same problem So any information from you guys could be of great importance .... thanks in advance

Hi,I have the MS 402 radio cassette fitted on my Fabia 1 12vI recently read about a car kit called Nokia CK 20w which can give me a good solution for both playing mp3 files and using my mobile while driving but I have some questions before deciding to buy one, I hope you can help me answer some of them:1.Will CK 20w work with the MS 402 with full funcionality (handsfree , auto muting...etc)2.How CK 20w will be fitted without visible cables (is there a professional way? if so who can provide such service?)3.Will it need anymore cabling other than those provided with the car kit (for example a cable to attach the CD changer port to the car kit)4.Where can I find a specific installation guide for Fabia 1 in particular?5.Is this solution an alternative for buying an Ipod interface cable that connects to the CD changer port (speaking about audio quality)6.How much does the whole thing cost ? and is it reliable (for those who used it)?Too many questions .... 3rd year service : 45000 Kilometers they changed oil / replaced the oil filter new fuel filter checked the brakes (discs and drums) changed the spark plugs cleaned the fuel injectors checked the engine and other car systems for faults it took only an hour and costed about 120$

hey guys here's a problem that has just occured today with my fabia I turned the A/C on then I pressed the circulation button to get more effective cooling , the button light paused for a moment then turned on and then came the confusion when I press the A/C button again the light turns off but the A/C keeps working , I tried to turn it off by pressing the circulation button and I succeeded after a number of trials , I pressed the circulation button again and the A/C started working ! did anyone countered this problem it is really annoying once I turn on the A/C I might not be able to turn it off , that is a real problem what should I do ?

The air-con compressor starts working only when engine's temperature rises to the normal level (90 in my car) When my car (fabia 1.2 12v) is idle and air-con is turned off the rev counter indicates nearly 600rpm when turned on it increases to 1000 Fuel consumption when idle is 0.6 l/h with air-con turned off and 1.0 l/h when turned on An additional fan behind the radiator works when air-con is turned on Every year before the hot season you may consider injecting new Gas and radiator filter cleaning as for noise you can't tell whether the air-con is on while inside the car , but if you lever the bonnet you can hear a remarkable noise

Dear all, I find the empty space under the radio cassette player "MS 402" in the Fabia dashboard very disattractive , so I was thinking of a solution for making the dashboard more elegant I found a special cover for that space in some models but not avaiable at the local skoda dealer, could you provide me with the exact name and number and price for this product and if I wanted to add a single CD player , will i find an original unit that can be fitted under the radio cassette (I found one for the polo but not for the fabia) , and how much will it cost in addition to a pair of rear speakers and tweeters ? does anyone have another suggestion about this thanks !

Dear All, I live in Syria where Skoda is very popular We used to have Skoda Felicia 2000 1.3 mpi which was so fabulous inspite of some old-fashioned characters.I really loved that car - we sold it recently- like a girlfriend I now have 2 skoda's: Fabia 2004 1.2 12v Octavia 2007 1.6 mpi I hope to share my experience with you and to get some advices about troubles I encounter Have a nice day
