  1. £9,999 red, 17miles, red leather, heated seats blah blah blah. Best deal i'v ever seen on one. And best of all i found it at the dealer who was looking at my broken turbo so i never even had to get it towed home:thumbup:
  2. Just wanted to say bye to everyone and thank you very very much for all the compliments and help over the past year. This is definatly one of the best forums about its like a big family. Unfortunatly my turbo blew (again) so im hanging up the keys for my vrs and trading her in. Turbo was replaced in Feb and its bust again. If it was a quick easy replacment to fix and sort out i wouldnt mind but skoda take ages to do any warrenty work. It was 6 weeks wait last time and it'll probably be the same this time. So 2 weeks have flew past now without a car and im hopeing to pick up something new tomorrow. A Daihatsu Copen for anyone thats interested to know. Dont know how it'll stack up compared to the vrs but atleast i can let my hair blow off in the summer with the top down. Im only 20 and im comfortable enough with my sexuality to give the copen ago:thumbup:. Lets just hope i dont give off the wrong impression
  3. Thats for the skoda dealer to decide tomorrow when i phone them lol Biggest problem i fear is that i havnt kept my fsh up to date. I was getting it done by a local garage (unfortunatly not authorised to stamp skoda services) so i think they'll refuse due to that
  4. £1400 fitted. To be honest my car is causing to many problems. I just want to get a cheap replacment and then move onto something else. Maybe a daihatsu copen. Seen one at the Seat dealers today. Looks to be quite a nice wee motor. leather seats, heated seats, cd, electric windows, spoiler, alloys, air con, electric roof all for £10k.
  5. Ended up getting it down to the garage. Didnt exactly go that well. I dont understand all the mechanical mumbo jumbo but basically sum valve thing broke in the turbo which lead to an oil leak in the exhaust and there for need a new turbo apparently. Even though i just got a new one 5 months ago:confused:
  6. Must be an oil leak into the exhaust cuz theres f**k all oil in it. If this an easy fix or a complicated bugger? Im going to run down to the local petrol station (by foot) and grab some oil so i can slowly wheel it to the seat garage (only 1 mile away now)
  7. I'v managed to tinker along down the road abit to the near Seat garage. £65 just to put it on the ramp before any labour charges after that. Rip off but im not mechanically minded enough to go it alone. I had a look about at the road side and so far iv identified the turbo, sum pipes and the water bottle so i think its best to let the "pro's" have a look
  8. lots of white smoke when changing gears
  9. Thanks to the genius of computer people i am able to get online through a tiny usb stick on a dodgy road in between muddy fields lol Im about 80miles from home. With the closest garage 20miles away and the closest skoda garage bout 50miles. Came out of a junction put the power down (slightly) then a big pop noise. No power (well very little). Exhaust managment light came on and its now making a weird crackling noise as if your on a dodgy radio station. Anyone have any idea what the hell this could be. Local skoda dealer dosnt have a clue and im kinda afraid to drive on. Noise sounds like its comming from around the turbo or below. Its hard to put a finger on it. All the hoses and clips seem to be ok so its not any of the connections to the turbo from what i can see. Any advice would be great:D
  10. Do i spy rolled and pulled rear arches? very nice indeed. Were any mods performed to acheive this new level of lowness?
  11. Is that what the front bumper looks like when you take the surround off or is that a euro style bumper? You Sir are a modding legend:thumbup:
  12. that golf was stolen about 2months ago (maybe more) seen it posted on wheel whores i think. Great lookin car though hope the owner gets it back in one piece again:thumbup:
  13. Just a quick question. What are the general 0 -60 times for a remapped vrs. Im no boy racer but i have had some interesting experiences recently when accelerating to 60 whilst behind other cars. The new m3 comes to mind, now im obviously not sayin a fabia is a quick to 60 as an m3 but i found very little between the two cars and the m3 was defintaly accelerating because there quite a lovely note from it although he was probably just in first. anyone care to add some info on the subject? cheers
  14. iv got a 2005 vrs does anyone know if i need the rear brake pads with the sensors or without? cheers
  15. Anyone fancy doing a photoshoot somewere? Would be quite awsome to get a massive shoot done with all our cars in it..............
  16. Does anyone from the site attend the meets in sprucefield? I have failed to attend them as yet but i heard there were a few fabias down there
  17. dont think this has been discussed or atleast i dont see a thread :: EBC Brakes Direct Limited ::) origonal or uprated? oh the choices that have to be made? obviously there is a massive saving on the origonal ones but do you think the uprated ones would be much better? as a novice in the world of performance tuning i would probly have guessed yes they are alot better but everyone seems to go for 312mm rather than just better pads..... maybe the uprated pads arnt good enough to justify the extra cost? Anyone care to evaluate?
  18. anyone got any pics or any advice. Im after a set of wheels but the set i want are only in 18" for a golf mk4. The kei wheels and most of there sizes are 18" and above. Would there be alot of rubbing? Or is 17" the best and only way to go..... i looked through other threads and the wheel gallery but there seemed to be only one car with 18" and it looked to be sitting quite high off the ground so maybe 18s arnt the best look to go for if your still trying to keep a low stance:confused:
  19. I was talkin to the guys at europarts and they said there was two different types of diesel filters for the fabia vrs but i wasnt sure which one to get. Mines an 2005 model. Used the search button but there wasnt any infor on this subject. Sorry if its a stupid question just totally confused:confused:
  20. Door builds and tweeter builds:D then you can fit any speaker you want. I got mine done last week with the tweeters in the A pillars and it sounds class. FOCAL speakers are the only way foward lol
  21. also would i be better off buying a proper induction kit instead of one of the pipercross filters?
  22. I currently have an 2005 vrs with 35k on it. Turbo blew at xmas there and finally got a new one a few weeks ago. The car have a remap and iv just ordered a pd160. My question is will a egr deletion kit benifit my car? i understand what the egr deletion kit does but would i see a benifit even though my car isnt really tunned. Im due a service aswell so im thinkinng about getting a pipercross filter rather than a skoda one. Am i going down the right route here and will i see any benifits?
