  1. hmm in denmark we cant get any of the fabia vRS's because skoda in denmark think its going to cost to much.. the polo gti has a price of 43.333€ 3.doors and 44.350€ in 5.doors and the ibiza cupra is 42.000€. so i guees that if they where to put it on sale the price would be somewhere in between those 2 and i wont even think of the price of the estate... more than what the polo cost i guess the top of the line fabia estate sport with 1,2 tsi 105hp dsg cost 31.200€ so there's a huge gap up to a vRS if it should be priced in between polo and ibiza. so im really jealous seeing all those pictures of beautiful vRS's :'(
  2. had that problem over a year ago. got fixed by cleaning the EGR valve and a new diesel filter. now its come back and its worse than it was last year. it really makes some bad hickups with full throttle. i temporarily cured it with a long drive with high rpm's and bell-add in the tank. and it did work about a week. Then i filled the tank up, without bell-add and it came back again 2 day's later. havent checked my diesel-filter yet, so cant say if its the same fault again.
  3. or you could try and do a reset on your climate control. Ignition on, engine off. Press ECON and air with an arrow straight at the same time, it's the left bottom button with man and arrow straight. everything in the climate display will light up and a test will be performed (approx. 30 sec) when the display is normal again turn ignition off and the new values will be set. i did that test when i had lost some menues in maxidot and they came back again. i did the test to get rid of the klick sounds from the climate but i also got audio back in maxidot, wich for some reason i dont know got lost :-O
  4. doesnt help... ive tried that aswell and it still gets dirty :-( every time i take it out and clean it, and it then works again up to 6-12 months a couple of weeks ago it did it again. This time i was sitting in car waiting, and i took it out and blew into it with my mouth and it worked again after that. and now its doing it again. so that lasted around 14 days :-D good to know if your on vacation and it happens and you dont have electronic cleaning with you :-P the guide is here in danish, but i remember that there was one in here who then translated it to english
  5. Im also Really pleased to hear about this! was really annoyed that my cruise control stopped working untill i found that guide, wich was so easy to do. saved me alot of money. only needed a can of contact cleaner and the cost was 3£ wich will last a life time
  6. to those of you that are past the warranty. it is possible to make a small repair and make it work again. ive done it twice on mine and its so easy to fix. 5 minutes and its working again the guide is here === VWFANATIC === sorry its in danish . but If you follow the pictures you'll see have to get it out of the stalk and put it apart. Then clean with electronic cleaner where the red rings are. use some electronic cleaner (contact cleaner) on a ear-cleaner(the one's with cotton on each ends) and wipe the dirt of thats causing the mailfunction of the cruise control. put it all back together and your cruise control will work again no need to buy an expensive new stalk
