  1. Dont you believe it....Im in Perth, got my Vrs Wagon (black) about 4 months ago with a very similar spec. Heated seats have been used quite a bit over the winter and they were absolute bliss!!! I know....before I moved here I didnt think it ever got cold in Australia either....then I arrived and shortly after bought an electric blanket!
  2. Rules in Oz (certainly in WA anyway) - 'rego' (equivalent to VED) is payable on your veh. Included in your rego is compulsory third party injury only insurance. Plenty of cars knocking about without rego sadly. Decent people, ie, you and I also pay for fully comp insurance to protect your own vehicle and any third party damage you may cause. The scrotes that hit my car had no insurance (and may even have had no rego). I have the details of the offending veh and took a photo of driver and drivers licence, passed them to my insurers...and basically leave it with them to chase. They end up pursuing offending uninsured drivers through the courts and hope they get something back. In the meantime, I'm in limbo, have to pay my full excess out and am out of pocket, and my motor ends up as a damaged/repaired. Its a great system...........
  3. Sadly, insurance isnt compulsory in Australia.....so not an issue for the old bill.
  4. No, they were still there....they had no insurance though......
  5. No idea why this has posted three times....sorry mods....blame tapatalk....

  8. Hi Mark. Any chance of a pic of yours? I have the vRS wagon with blackpack and am looking for options on roof bars. Im a bit concerned about scratching/damaging the black roof rails though.....have yours been ok?
  9. UPDATE. - been into dealer today......apparently we don't get DAB in Australia. Not sure why, but that was the answer.
  10. Only in Oz........[emoji23] Cheers, will have a look at NRMA.
  11. If you dont mind me asking...where did you get your blackvue from? Im in Perth and have found a local supplier but wondered if it would be cheaper buying from the East coast (it normally is...). Cheers
  12. Checked the car, it has the antenna in both of the rear quarter panel windows. It wasn't in the configurator....I think the only option I didn't take was the pano roof, DAB definitely wasn't on there.
  13. Hi all. I've been slowly getting to grips with all the tech on my new vRS since I picked her up a couple if weeks ago. One thing that is puzzling me is DAB. I dont have it....in the radio screen I only have FM or AM as an option, and no DAB as per the manual. Surely thats not right?? I know the spec on cars for the Australian market are different spec....and appreciate that Australia can be a 'bit' behind the times, but we do get DAB radio over here. Would there be something in the settings I have not done correctly or us it a dealer job?? The car us due back in for its 1000km health check next week so I can get them to look at it then if needs be. Cheers.
