but how do you get the small, really small handle cable off???????????

i couldnt get the bolts off from the side of the door either. spline bits, what are they???????? i drilled mine out instead and oput some nice shiny new flat head bolts back in. TIP TOP. couldnt fix the problem tho, could seem to un hook the wire from the external door handle!! DOH!!!!!

would this be the same if my door was the other way round. ie. the car thinks my door is always open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just been to rainworth skoda and nosed at a scout, really nice but not sure if its worth the nearly 20k asking price. you could get alot of other car for that money. i curently have an octi ambient 1.9 tdi so did want to stay with the skoda group, but the prices seem to going a tad high. or am i just tight??????

is it easy to change the front springs on a 1.9 tdi 2002.?? ive treid a few garages but because its a lowered spring they dont want to touch it. sounds very odd to me so im having to have a go myself. the one thats on has snapped by the way. took it for 4 new tyres and the fitter pointed it out to me then.... ...doh!! cheers guys

gave that a whirl... ... off my dads drive and covered his garage door in black soot. he didnt find it nearly half as funny as i did. neither did he like his new tread prints on his block paving. even tho i told that had just me about 20 quid, ungrateful get!!!!

not sure about trying that. a bit scared me thinks. but next door is a piromaniac, maybe ill ask his opinion!!! i think i'll take to my local garage and tell them about the clutch cleaning jobbo and let them do it. cheers guys.

sorry its took so long, been away. its a 02 tdi 90 bhp with 29k miles. chip has been fitted about seven months.

ive got a tdi with a dragon chip and occasionally in fifth the clutch sometimes slips a bit. not alot and not very often. and its only if ive given it a bit of right foot through the gears. any ideas. cheers
