cheers for your help guys, bad timing that its a bank hol this weekend tho!!

I had the cambelt on my 04 fabia vrs changed last week. When driving I thought I was getting some extra smoke out of the exhaust, but wasnt sure, until now! As I was driving the car started kangarooing with a loss of power and black smoke coming out the exhaust. The engine also makes a fair bit of noise. This noise and power lose is not constant however, it comes and goes at a steady rate. When parked and in neutral and the engine is reved, it seems fine. Any help on this mate would be greatly appreciated!

I find a white grease like HSW grease in a spray can is good. But that just be because i have it laying around at work!!

Hi all im a proud owner of a black fabia Vrs. Had it for about 9 months and now, thanks to the all helpful threads, am soon to add a pd160 intake and green air filter. Happy days!!
