  1. I had the “fix” done on my 2013 1.6tdi monte a couple months back and as soon as I got it back I noticed a difference, it seemed sluggish and when it’s turned off there’s a “clunk” from the engine which it’s never done in the 3 years I’ve had it! It seems to have sorted itself out though power wise or maybe I’ve just got used to it? A couple of other things I’ve noticed is the MPG had 100% got BETTER but it seems to be using a bit of oil now, again something it’s never done since I’ve had it! It’s just turned 70k and due a service so I’ll keep an eye on the oil usage!
  2. Had it a few times over the years in mine and haven't changed the battery and it still works fine.
  3. All sorted now and works Just as it did. Thanks for the help everyone
  4. Problem found! Two severed wires and another four that are well on their way! Time to get the wire and soldering iron out.
  5. Thanks for the replies. yeah replaced it with a brand new genuine switch, I haven't tried the key in the lock yet but I'll give it a go and have a look at the wires.
  6. The other day the drivers side window stopped working, literally minutes after I used it last? The passengers side still works fine and the the door locks etc still work fine on the drivers side, I've read a couple of topics about window switches so I've replaced the drivers switch and the window still doesn't work? Is there additional parts for the window to work like an ECU, control box etc? Thanks
  7. All were 1.2 tsi iirc and had heated seats, sat nav and maxidot standard
  8. Is the corners of the grill seperate from the rest of it? If so just give it a good pull and it'll come off!
  9. I'm assuming you're meaning ones on a monte or such like? Easy enough to get to, pull the corners of the bumper grill off and press the tab to release the fog light?
  10. Just got mine off ECP recently, is your monte a 105 version? You'll need 288mm discs and pads for teves calipers, I went for Brembo ones.
  11. Over the past couple of days my monte is displaying fault code P0113 which comes back as the IAT (intake air temp) sensor. Is this sensor built into the MAF? Thanks
  12. Love the look of this, wish I'd gone for a yellow one now
  13. Go for some crees, got these in mine https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111458564090
  14. Had the exact same thing with my monte, recently had the rear shoes replaced and it's been fine since
  15. When I had mine activated via VCDS it was done under "indicator celebration" as staging wasn't available. I've read that there was different model clusters in different years of cars requiring some needle sweep to be activated under indicator celebration and others under staging
  16. Manual describes what the number of beeps mean locating it to the sensor so 4 beeps is sensor number 4 fault. It has started working fine again now so I'll just have to keep an eye on it.
  17. Found the manual and got it sorted! Mods can now delete this thanks
  18. Some may remember that last year I installed the skoda BEA710001 (laserline) PDC on my monte. Well this morning it seems to have developed a fault over night as it worked fine yesterday! When selecting reverse instead of the pleasant noise it makes there is now four quietish beeps followed by a loud "fault" beep then again four louder beeps? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
  19. I've had a look, and the carriers are separate as you've just said Brimma so 312s are going on
  20. Thanks, I'll check the carrier. Any ideas with the disc size anyone?
  21. As the title says really, I'm needing to replace the front discs and pads on my Monte soon but they come in 3 different sizes? Am I rite in thinking they're 288x25? Also if that is the correct size am I rite in thinking I can use a 312mm setup without changing the hubs? Thanks
