Great car, as long as you can get one that is not 'fixed'
-
The small one that is really effective is Bromochlorodifluoromethane I think is banned now due to environmental issues. But if you see one like I did at a boot sale, grab it.

Just to report. My Yeti had It's first MOT last week. It sailed through. That is after almost 8200 miles in the 3 years! NO, I have not had DPF problems from doing the 2 mile return trip to the village shops.
-
BTY I have moved on, and can report the Yeti's knob is well stiff.

I had tht problem when I had a roomster. I think it was because the cam was close to the windscreen antenna that ran down the middle only 2 inches away. Tried fitting a ferrite ring to the supply cable, it did not help. My yeti has antenna at the rear so no problem now.

Similar happened to me. It was about 3/4 full but I topped up, preparing for a long journey. It sill said 3/4 but after many miles it suddenly dropped to 1/2. and been fine since.

Success! Thanks all. It seems the key to it, (excuse the pun) are two things. Start it up, not just turn on ignition, and select 'back'

It still does not work. Been to the dealer and they tried and failed. They suggest it may be to do with the F L Yeti. They said they would inquire further. Anyone with a FL Yeti managed to get both keys to do one press opening?
-
Thanks, you live and learn, but not from the manual!
-
I Changed the setting (on MFD) so that my key fob will open all doors with one press. Great. But when SHMBO tried her fob, it still needed two presses. Why? I have RTFM and can't find the answer there.

How long have you been married...............
merseadog replied to Auric Goldfinger's topic in Off Topic Chat
We were married the day of the first moon landing. In our honeymoon hotel, we laid on the bed hearing Niel doing his 'one small step' speech! -

Thanks for that. But why? I thought the systems nowadays were so sealed they did not need attention unless there was a fault. My last 2 cars were (petrol) Roomsters. The coolant level never moved from full. Is it something to do with VAG diesel?
-
Interesting. My 2014 Yeti coolant was near the low point after less than 3000 miles. I wonder if this is normal? (I did go, last week to the dealer for pressure test, nothing showing, and a top up.)

I am a bit confused. Why does anyone need to let the tank run this low?

In about 1970, I was teaching my wife to drive. We were in an old Minivan (younger readers look it up). She had entered a large roundabout, halfway round, I said 'change up to third' She said 'It wont go'. I shouted 'DONT BE STUPID JUST DO IT' she says 'IT WONT' .We get across the roundabout and I say 'STOP, I WILL TAKE OVER'. She stalls to a stop. I take the driving seat. Yes it was stuck in second gear. I had to get back home (about 5 miles) in second gear, saying sorry all the way!
