Well apparently it's a digital tuning box which analyses and alters the relevant ECU signals.

Just thought I'd bring this to the attention of people who may be interested. After coming from a 6 speed diesel with poo loads of power (for me anyway, I'm only 21 :p) and going into a Fabia Blueline, it was depressing, don't get me wrong it's an excellent car, just lacks in power. So anyway I've been poking around enquiring about remaps but then I came across THIS , it was only £75 so thought bugger it I'll get it, I WANT POWER! Fitted it this morning and it makes a hell of a difference! Based on the extra power I'm getting I would definitely recommend it. Just thought I'd share

Fitted my smoothed vrs front bumper which I bought off a brisky member recently. Had it resprayed, the colours slightly out tho :/

Yeah that's the tyre size that I have got, 205/45/16

They're Audi Mini Competition alloys, tyre size is 205/45/16 but can't remember the offset, they stick out more than the standard alloys tho, although I would have thought that would have increased the stability? Here's a pic (the tyre size in the pic is 205/55/16):

Yeah I've noticed that the mini comps are VERY heavy compared to my other alloys. And I have quite stiff suspension.

My fabia's lowered by 40mm, and I never experienced understeer with my 15" alloys on. But what I'm thinking is if the backside is swinging out too easily now, won't it be even worse with a rarb?

After changing my insurance to allow me to keep my mods, I thought I may as well get my mini comps some tyres as they've just been sitting there for months. So yea, got the tyres and had the wheels fitted but now the car feels really wobbly in corners! When I had my 15" alloys on, the car went nice and fast round corners, when I had my 17" alloys on, the car wasn't as good at cornering but because the tyres were wider it felt a lot more planted but the 16" mini comps are just totally sh!t, can anything fix this? I was thinking of getting a rarb anyway, would this fix my problem or would it make it worse? I used to always mess around trying to get the back to swing out when braking hard in corners (on a farm lane not a main road :P) and could never do it, tried it with the mini comps on and the back swung out too easily!

Yea I'm still gonna get the bumpers done, I asked about the tints as well and they said that as long as I can prove they're legal then they're fine. Induction kit I will keep on, if I unfortunately did crash, then the airbox is quick and simple enough to put back in, and there is a plug for the backbox which reduces the bore to the standard size so I can slap that in and shouldn't have any problems. So all that's changing really is putting the standard alloys and springs back on.

Well when I've got quotes online and said I've had the car lowered not one insurance company would insure me, and the cheapest quote I've had without the car lowered but with 16" alloys is £1222 third party. I've paid over £700 in my dads name for the existing (it was £600 but he crashed the car which affected his NCB), and they'll give me £500 back if I terminate the insurance at the beginning of October. So yea I've decided now to keep the existing policy (mainly coz I cba to faff about with changing insurance) and put the car back to standard, it's my cheapest option by far.

Ok new plan lol. Just phoned up the insurance now and they said they wouldn't insure me with 16" alloys, or lowering springs. So, car's going back to standard as of today :(

No it's legal "c) The front side windows (to either side of the drivers’ head) must allow at least 70% of light to be transmitted through them" But only if the tint allows 70% light thru.

You can do the back ones yourself to save you a bit of money (plus it's fun :P). If I can remember correctly I THINK I paid £60 to get the fronts fitted.

I've never understood why people get the black vinyl on the B pillars :confused: I think it looks a lot better in the same colour as the car.. Each to their own tho

Great minds think alike! haha, I did think about slappin an LCR splitter then filling the gap between the splitter and the bumper, but the bottom of the bumper is too rounded and I don't think I'd be able to do a good job of it, or if it is even possible, plus I'm not 100% certain that it would look good

That's why I was put off from getting my front ones tinted. Although I'm sure the tinting peeps are up to date with whats legal. If they have changed the law to say that no tints are allowed on the front, then it wouldn't be fair on people who have had their tints done on the front before this law..

I've just gone out and saw my car this morning and I'm beginning to fall in love with them! I think it was just a huge shock to me coz it was a big change :P
