  1. Aaaaaah, so I'm not the only one that watches the news lol....
  2. Just saw this on the news.... I always tell my mates that my Octavia flies, but this takes the biscuit ! YouTube - Germany: Car Crashes Through Church Roof
  3. Well I dont know about Fabia's, but my MK1 Octy needed the glovebox taking out (pain in the **** job), where there was a rubber grommit that I had to make bigger with a blade. It took me hours, and lots of smashed in knuckles. Then again, I am a cowboy, and it would probably take someone with a bit of common sense 30mins. Hope this helps!!
  4. Hi, Well it seems to of cleared itself again, as it hasn't happened today... Haven't got round to checking the brake lights, but will do at the weekend.. As far as limp mode over 3k revs, thats not something that's happening to me, but what would that mean?? You have me worried now!! ( It does it occasionaly, but I put that down to the sticky vanes problem, and it hasnt done that in a while....) Thanks everyone!
  5. When I drove to work this morning, I noticed that the little 'coil' light you get on diesel cars was flashing away non-stop on my dashboard.. What does this mean??
  6. Ok, I've decided to buy a pressure washer thingy to clean my car, as bucket and sponge never seems to get the cr*p all off properly (especially since there is salt on the roads)... Since it's the Jan sales, I'm thinking I could get a good deal somewhere like Argos or Halfords, and I dont want to spend more than about £50-£60 (ish)... Any recommendations please people??? :)
  7. I want to know wether insuring a cat 'd' write off would be any more troublesome than insuring a non-repaired car.. Basically, I have my eye on a nice car, which is cheaper than it should be, looks repaired ok, but im a little worried about any problems that a Cat 'D' might throw up.. Advice please people !!
  8. Well I can't think of anything I didnt tell them, but even if there was, what's a £5.53 increase?? Confusing if you ask me!
  9. Hi, I recently insured my Octavia with you guys, but received a letter the other day saying due to their being a 'difference to the information originally supplied' an extra £5.53 was being debited from my card in the next 7 days! Whats that all about then!!?? Please get in contact as I got bored of waiting on hold on the phone this morning :( Thanks
  10. Ok, so I was coming up the A3 from the M25 into Tolworth where it drops from 70 to 50 earlier today. There's a gatso as it goes to 50, so I slowed down, and as I came round the next corner about 400m on, there's one of those f***ing speed camera vans parked (on a pavement). Anyway long story short, I'd creeped upto about 58-60 again, so I guess its a fair cop. Thing is, I have never been done for speeding, so now I don't know what to expect... How long does it take for it to come through?? (It was a work van, so not registered to me) and is there any laws or loopholes that might help me get out of it?? (And yes, I know I was wrong, but no-one likes paying fines!) Any advice appreciated!!!:)
  11. Dont pay it. I had one of these and ignored it. Nothing ever came of it, as by law, it is an invoice and not a fine. They rely on people sh*tting themselves with all the fancy wording to pay up quickly. Dont worry about it.
  12. What do you mean? Spotlights? LEDs?
  13. I think they would look better below the headlights as opposed to under the numberplate, but thats my opinion!
  14. Im not too sure about 'E marked' ones, but I know the police aren't interested one little bit in my LED's. And mine are on permanently. And I live in Hertfordshire, where the police hate motorists. I have had them on for quite a few months now, and even had a pull off the police without anything being said to me. I don't think that they're breaking any laws, as otherwise they would be pulling over all new Audi's, Saabs, BMW's.... etc... Plus, as an HGV driver, I notice that lots of other HGV drives decorate their cabs with LEDs all the time.
