  1. For sale is an XLR pedal box + app connectivity - just over a month old, selling due to the Kodiaq going Price - £150 + postage (can be worked out depending on location), collection also available from Sandhurst, Berkshire Full details here https://www.racechip.co.uk/pedal-box/xlr.html Please check compatibility - this was purchased for a Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TDi 190 bhp model but may be compatible with other vehicles using the same engine but I would recommend checking with racechip. Also included is a bracket I made up that allows the rotary controller to be placed in the coin drawer located next to the light switch. All that is required is removing the draw and drilling a small hole at the back to feed the cable through. The bracket slides into the card holder slot at the top of the drawer (I have added some pics of how it looked in mine). This doesn't have to be fitted as the throttle box can be controlled via the phone app as well. It is also worth checking with your insurance company if fitting this will impact your policy - it shouldn't as it is not modifying the performance of the vehicle like a tuning chip - but worth while checking first. Pretty straight forward to fit - remove the coin drawer and disconnect the throttle plug behind the dash, connect the control box in line and then there is a space to the right hand side behind the dash to located the control box. Thanks for looking
  2. Octavia MkII estate variable boot floor - all the bits and fitting instructions are there, very good condition, it was never fully fitted into my old car so the rivets and brackets are as new (to be honest you really don't need to use them as it fitted in pretty securely with the rear hooks and brackets that twist over the luggage restraint loops. Due to the size this would have to be a collection only from Sandhurst in Berkshire Just need to get it out of the garage so free to anyone willing to collect - PM me Cheers
  3. Sasha you are a legend!! Change applied and looking awesome with the sports displays as well. Thanks for working this out, I suspect VasilTorbov will also be making the change shortly :-)
  4. Can anyone guide me around adding the odd mph numbers on the virtual cockpit speedo? I can’t find anything obvious and though they might be added by changing the view to sportline but alas no. Thanks in advance
  5. Didn’t see anyone post the instructions up - I gave bought a set of the Skoda running boards and will be fitting them myself, I managed to get a copy of the instructions off of a dealership. Hope this is useful 565071691-fitting-instructions.pdf
  6. Just to add - the only thing it might need is a quick recode via VAGCOM to ensure the maxidot works but I might be wrong. i had to do it on my 2010 Occy, was literally a 2 minute job and it was all fine. There might be a helpful member in your area with the cable and software if that is the case.
  7. Should work fine in a 2011 Fabia - not sure the metal mounting bracket would fit but to be honest the black control box could be mounted onto the carpet under the seat with a bit of velco tape. I can post no problems - just PM me where it is going and I will see what the best postage or courier rates are - cheers.
  8. Sandhurst in Berkshire I'm afraid - I could see what I could do on the cheapest courier if that helps?

  13. Attached are a couple of documents that I have scanned in from the original VW instructions that come with the MDI interface kit. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to fit mine to the back of a Columbus and route all of the cables accordingly. Relatively straight forward if you follow the instructions for the pin outs. Hope this is helpful to anyone else interested in retrofitting an MDI. All reference to cable colouring is accurate and matches the Skoda looms exactly from my experience. 14. For those that are interested I have updated the post with the finished install pictures.
  15. Ok - an update for anyone that is interested :-) The new Kenwood DNX9240BT is installed but not without a couple of hitches. The fascia surround is well worth purchasing from Skoda directly as it does look better than finding a blanking plate to fit the hole left by the Bolereo. I did a quick search around the forums and for the vRS and the part number is 1Z0 838 069 DK DF1 - the dealership charged me £30 which wasn't too bad. The first issue that I can across was the necessary fascia plate which then needs to be fitted into this surround in order to accept the double din unit. I ordered a 'Connects2 CT24SK06 Skoda Fabia Octavia Roomster Facia' - I can now advise that if you want to fit a Kenwood DNX unit this is not the fascia adapter that you need as the unit will not fit in corrects with it's own bezel. The solution is to go for is the CT24VW06 which is designed for the VW Passat / Toureg and does allow a double din unit and bezel to be fitted and sits nicely into the centre console surround. The second problem I came across was with the wiring loom connector - I went for the Connects2 CTSSK002 to enable me to use the MFSW controls. It almost works with the exception of the rotary volume control which doesn't. If you click the volume control is still mutes the Kenwood head unit but I suspect that the adapter is still designed for the pre-FL models with the button MFSW. I am waiting for a response back from Connects2 with regards to this as I am hoping that an Audi or VW adapter might work with the rotary volume control - I will update the post as soon as I have an answer. The right hand controls on the MFSW still function and you can get to all the MFD option and change them accordingly - the only thing that you lose is the Audio menu and control which was expected. Relatively straight forward to replace he stereo, the only part that had to be removed in order to allow better access was the glove box which was removed via 6 torx screws and then provided the ability to move the cabling and ensure a good fit. I will attempt to post some pictures of the finished install but if anyone has any follow up questions I would be more than happy to try and answer them if I can. Paul 24th October - further update regarding the wiring loom. I have now had it confirmed by both Autoleads and Connects2 that both of their advertised looms for the Octavia 2 will not work with the newer MFSW with the roller volume control. However I have had success with the guys at Incartec who were extremely helpful and with a combination of their Kenwood UNICAN product 29-UC-005 the quadlock to iso cable 29-UC-QUAD1 everything now works. www.incartec.co.uk - very helpful company indeed.
  16. Occy vRS FSi - yes I am having a mid life crisis and yes the flappy paddles are necessary!!

  17. I have another question (surprise, surprise!!) - this time regarding the fascia surrounds for a 2010 vRS. I have been reading around the forum and seen this part mentioned 1Z0 858 069 DK DF1 as the replacement fascia for fitting the Columbus Sat Nav (this would also do fine for the unit that I have with an existing adapter). Is this the right fascia for the 2010 Occy with the rectangular climate control panel??
  18. Thanks gadget man - so is it safe to assume that the can bus would be the normal Mk2 version as there seems to be nothing specific about for a 2010 Occy from Autoleads or Connects2 currently.
  19. After some help from the forum on this one - bear with me as I have a lot of questions and the brain ain't as sharp as it used to be!! Having drifted away to the VW dark side for the past 2 years I am returning to the fold and will pick up my 2010 vRS FSi in a couple of weeks :-). However I would like to remove the Bolero unit and install my trusty Kenwood DNX sat nav unit - so my questions are: 1. Does the vRS run a CAN-BUS system - if it does are there any diagrams or are the looms the same as the pre-facelift 2010 models (which I know have a different dash layouts) 2. I have the multifunction steering wheel with audio and phone controls - if I remove the Bolero does this stop the Bluetooth phone functionality from working - ie is the Bluetooth phone integral to the Bolero or is it managed from a seperate control unit. 3. Will the rear parking sensors become useless if the Bolero are removed or are they run from a seperate control unit? 4. Will installing the Kenwood steering wheel control adapters prevent the steering wheel from being used for the normal maxidot display functions / bluetooth phone? Apologies for the questions but I really want to put the Kenwood in as it has everything on it and is an excellent ipod control unit. Any advice greatly received - cheers Paul PS - Promise never to wander form the Skoda path again ;-)
  20. I have had exactly the same problem on my car which is exactly the same model. It is currently being repaired under warranty. The diagnosis that I was given was that is was the cooling fans causing the issue - only found this out after replacing the battery and the same thing happening again. Tad alarming to be changing the battery though and finding the distribution board on top melted and charring on the inner cover - I would have though that this would have been protected by the fuse?? I will update this post once I get the car back and get a full run down of the exact parts replaced and the reason why. Cheers
  21. I will have to read the non Skoda warranty that I took out with the Skoda Dealer - hopefully it should cover it or it is going to be a very hot summer!! On the plus side - hoooray for Aircon and a Sunroof on the Elegance!! Cheers for the reply
  22. Have an issue with my aircon on a 2000 TDi 110. Something has dropped off and the aircon doesn't engage anymore. It is the Climatronic version and the fan and all the other gubbins work ok but the aircon won't engage. When digging aroud under the car a nut dropped out from nowhere which I assume has something to do with it!!! I am wondering if anything vital has left the car and is now keeping the wildlife company on the side of the M4 somewhere. Are there any diagrams showing the aircon system under the bonnet? Or has anyone else experienced the same issue? Sorry for the lack of information but that is a technical as I get when looking under the hood!! Cheers
  23. I have used these kits quite a lot - currently have the CK3300 but have also used the Ck3100. With regards to fitting they are extremely simple due to the ISO wiring loom that is supplied. With regards to the Nokia 6600 I used to have this phone and had no end of issues with it and the Parrot - it is mainly due to the Nokia software on the phone itself. There is quite a good chart from Parrot: http://www.driveblue.com/download/ck3x00%20vs%20phones%20features.pdf This shows all the capabilities of the phone - the main problem stems from how the Parrot views the Nokia 6600 when connected. It should see it as a 'Handsfree' Device which gives you more control over the settings but sometime is only sees it as a 'Headset' - this gives you less functionality. Have you paired it under a General phone or under the Nokia 6600 pairing on the Parrot? If you have only tried the pairing under General try the specific pairing as this might help. Another good place to look is under the user forum on Parrot: http://www.driveblue.com/(1jd3dgzqyattzgbdvrbn0hbn)/Default.aspx?root=home Hope this is of some help Salad Dodger
