  1. VRS TSI DSG Combi over last few months, nearly always premium unleaded. Measured using brim-to-brim method: best tank: 41.6 mpg worst tank: 31.2 mpg average over 8k miles: 35.05 mpg
  2. No fake exhaust to worry about on a TSI ;-) Yep, black bumper protector was from Superskoda (OEM p/n 5E9064711RS).
  3. Thanks all. Think they were pretty much the only chrome thing on the car, so looked a little out of place with all the white and black. Now to find some anthracite wheels at a reasonable price...!
  4. Was bored today, so whipped the exhaust tips off for the local powder coating place to look at. A few hours and £40 later... 20150925-OMD50002 by Rob O, on Flickr 20150925-OMD50005 by Rob O, on Flickr And thirty minutes under the back bumper... 20150925-OMD50011 by Rob O, on Flickr 20150925-OMD50015 by Rob O, on Flickr 20150925-OMD50014 by Rob O, on Flickr Think it looks quite smart! Full size photos on click, an a couple more photos in this album - https://www.flickr.com/gp/rbso/C640xU. (I've lightened the shadows a bit in post-processing to make them a bit clearer.) Thoughts?
  5. Does anyone know if this is referenced anywhere formally in Skoda UK literature/webpage etc? Previous dealer I went to (Winchester Skoda) told me that there were no controls through the USB, just charging... It's going in for a service at a different dealer (Salisbury Skoda), and I have asked them to look at it. Mine's a relatively early 13 plate, so could be a firmware issue?
  6. Hi, I put my O3 VRS into Winchester Skoda on Tue 5 May 15 to have cruise control fitted - they quoted £275, and to pick it up that evening. They have had it ever since with a "databus fault" they cannot clear, although apparently the cruise control works fine. They've had it almost a week now (6 days today), and unsure what to do: 1) Pick it up, accept there is a databus error, and they will fix it in the future (yeah right). 2) Leave my car with them indefinitely and continue to putt round in the CitiGo courtesy car. I am concerned that as soon as they have my money, there is no incentive for them to fix the issue - however, I would quite like my VRS bck at some point. Appreciate people's thoughts! Cheers.
  7. 36.4mpg (measured brim-to-brim) from the last tank, V Power, vRS TSI DSG Combi.
  8. Hi, Which part number, and how much are you after? Thanks!
  9. Hmmm - dealer it is then. Have tried an iPhone 5, an iPhone 5S, and two iPad minis, with three different USB cables...
  10. Do you have to do anything special to get that menu? My Columbus will charge my iPhone/iPad/iPod, but won't allow me to select USB or see any music. Just want to make sure I'm not being daft before I go to the dealer...
  11. Interesting - my Columbus doesn't seem to recognise any of my Apple devices via USB? Music (and phone) works fine over Bluetooth, and the devices charge when plugged in, but can't seem to access the iPod/iPhone/iPad via the Columbus… anything obvious I'm missing?!
  12. Many thanks indeed Andy! Unfortunately, that turns off the lane assist (and trailer module) bits for me, and gives me another error about coding in A5. However, I did get it working by enabling "(23) Lane_Departure_Warning_over_threshold_high" in module 5F's coding. I think the above VCDS error maybe something to do with the fact my car won't accept (151) menu_display_rod_sign_identification and (153) menu_display_rod_sign_identification_over_threshold_high in module 5F for some reason...? It says 'coding accepted', but then reverts back to 'not activated' - urgh!
  13. Picked up my new-to-me approved used vRS Estate (with Columbus, Canton & Boot Assist) on Tuesday. When I went to switch the lane assist on yesterday to try it out, it said "function not available"… Obviously I'd take it to Skoda to fix, but thought I'd have a look with VCDS in case it was a quick fix. Anyway, after spending a few hours in the car coding the towbar prep (which I though would fix it), I have successfully enabled traffic sign recognition, high beam assist etc etc - but the lane asset fault remains! I have an error in the A5 module - error 1114112 data bus - missing message... Can anyone let me know their A5 coding? andyvee - any tips? You seem to be the resident guru! Many thanks in advance.
