1.4 TSI 4x4 vs 2.0 190 TDI 4x4 -purchase dilema
exFiesta replied to neilsupermac's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
Did the same 2 + 1 + 1 today! -
Hope it gets on the move soon
-
Excellent - be good to see how you get on.
-
For 5 seat mode, I have ordered something similar (but with the non-slip bit for the dog). There isn’t anything I have found that is made for when all 7 seats are up though.
-
The superb boot buddy does fit in, but not well, it’s a bit short and a bit high. So will be selling it in a little while - needs cleaning up. i have performed surgery on the Sakura, for 7seat mode. It is a little narrow for the widest parts, so I trimmed up some offcuts for the extremes, and may bond them at some point.

Picked up today. Very pleased Will try for some photos at the weekend - but rainy today. In total it was only a shade over 8 weeks from order to delivery - ordered 23/2 delivered 27/4.
-
Good that it’s easily sorted enjoy!
-
Hopefully not long then - think mine took about a day to release for registration. Tech confirmed signal boosting is reduced but is still functional, as is wireless charging.
-
Picking up tomorrow morning had a quick peek with the wraps on today. Hope it gets on the move for you soon!
-
My 170 2WD DSG has had an average of 38.4 mpg over 24k, and a best of 52.3mpg - which occurred on a long relatively sedate trip. Motorway stuff is normally mid 40's, unless sticking to about 60-65max. It's definitely dipped since 'the fix' but I have also subsequently had the Dual Mass Flywheel replaced, so that might have some responsibility I guess.
-
@MooseUK apparently fix is done and now awaiting release from SUK to allow registration might be ok for a Sat am pickup. @silver1011 (and others awaiting Emden move) hope yours don’t hibernate too long.
-
Yep, mine will need that too. Hopefully it won’t add much of a delay
-
Do you have a panoramic roof? Could be the drains for that - I’m sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be around - although there are probably a few posts about it too

Just arrived at Marshall’s
-
Sorry - it’s a VW group scheme to provide loan cars. I had one recently during a bit of warranty work, but they are used at other times like delayed deliveries, as I understand it.
-
Ah, nice! Looks like we may not meet up there this time then. Looking forward to some pics!
-
If it is delayed for this reason, perhaps the dealer or ŠKODA UK has one you could use, or could get you a mobex that has.
-
Ouch. Hoping for a little movement this week, been at Sheerness for a week or so, but apparently can be for 7-10 *working* days normally.
-
Turned out to have 2 days on the ship, arriving UK on 13 April (after being anchored offshore for a while) and into compound on 14 April. Now awaiting transport. I get to pick a number plate in a couple of days though, when I’m at the opening event for the new Marshall’s showroom in Reading.
-
Ian at Marshall ŠKODA in Reading let me know as soon as he found out that it was on the boat, and said the next time he’ll be in touch is when he knows what the transport looks like from Sheerness. I had also messaged ŠKODA Uk about it a little while ago, and they messaged me to let me know it was on the boat this morning - no prompting from me.
-
I guess it is possible our kodiaqs will share a transporter to Reading ...

2litre diesel VRS Octavia won't start when warm
exFiesta replied to Ron1968's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Just to throw something random in the mix. My superb II 170 diesel was having trouble with warm starts recently. This was diagnosed as a faulty DMF and replaced under warranty (just under 3yrs old). -
Just found out that our Kodiaq made it onto the Malacca Highway, so should be in the UK later today that’ll make 2 days factory to Emden, 13 days at Emden, 1 on a ship. So we’ll see how the next bit goes...
-
Danube, Mallaca and Southern Highway’s all lined up - so hopefully a few more Kodiaqs raised from hibernation at Emden and on their way
