  1. Have you checked this site? http://www.connects2.co.uk/c2search.aspx?manID=229&modID=808&catID=24 CTSSK001 adapter. Does it look like that one will fit?
  2. Hi. im coming from norway and have like lots of others the big "water ingress" problem. I want to tell my story so other users can find some help in fixing the problem. i started off with checking the rubber grommets (under the battery) and the poller filter intake. my pollen filter intake was already siliconed (if this havent been done. Do it!). But the rubber grommets where not removed. Removed and ready for next task. i still had water coming in so i decided to silicone the ecu box and the rubber grommet for the hood wire just in case. And guess what! No more water coming in Im sorry for the lack of photos but just ask and i will try to take some photos. Then i was moving on to the interior wiring. i had to re solder all of the nodes.(just a fancy name of cables crimped with steel and stuck in rubber protective.) i counted around 10 nodes from front to back of car. i re soldered all of them. (they where all green ish.) dont mind the big red cable its just for the stereo When i had soldered all the nodes. the light in the roof lighted up. but still no puddle lights on the rear left door. i followed the cables from the loom in the floor to the door. some of the contacts in the b pillar had rottened. You can see a little green stuff on the contact. I just stripped the cable colors that where green in the contact and soldered in new cables. the easy and effective way My next problem where the ccu box. the ground cable had rottened.I just drilled out the original cable and inserted a new ground cable. and glued with a hot gun. i still have a problem with the light under the driver seat (left hand drive). But this was all the time i had in spare for this weekend. I hope my english is good enough, Im from norway, If you guys have any questions just ask and i will try too answer as soon as possible..
  3. did the steering wheel control work with the original radio?

  5. hi. im having some trouble with my interior lights. Its not all the time. when i stop the car and close the doors. the interior lights dont go off. i have the switch in the 0 position. anyone got a clue?
  6. mine switches of automatic too. dont know if its a temp sensor. but takes some time.
  7. i have fixed my left backdoor, it was only a cable in the rubber thingy from the door that had jumped of. talked to vw and they said it was a common problem. they said the cables were a little bit short so they could disconnect. nice design nice design
  8. i had a problem starting my car after i took out the "brain" of the car. Talked to the workshop and they said i might be the start blocker... i dont know if that is the right word. but its the module that disable the motor from starting if the wrong key is inserted.. I only had this once. now it starts fine.
  9. Hi, does anyone have a picture of the "node" under the rear carpet? im from norway so not the best in english, are the node some kind of connection point to the car? my rear left door (LHD) doesnt function at all. only the speakers.
  10. i have checked the filter box, but it was allready glued. then i checked the ECU box, it has a crappy foam seal too, so i glued that one too. it was alot of crap around the ECU box that stopped the water from running, so i hope this is it for me. i still have the problem with the rear left door not working, neither lock or window work. does anyone know where the cables for the door are connected "corroded points" on the cables. i have a LHD superb so my air filter box is on the right side and the ECU on the left side. its only moist on the left side of the car so i dont think it has anything to do with the air filter box. i hope its the ECU box. i also noticed the red led in the driver door doesnt flash when the car is locked, this might be because the rear left door doesnt work. does anyone have a wiring diagram for the superb?
  11. i was checking the car for leaks, but it didnt seem to be the air filter case. I have a LHD and my air filter are on the right side i was looking under the hood and i spotted the hood release wire came up by the ECU(on left side) that had a rubber seal. this place was filled with water. May it be the same problem with the ECU box as the air filter box? (Leak) i will try to consult with SKODA tomorrow. Lucky me im out of warranty :( But isnt something so faulty supposed to be repaired anyway? this is really bad....
