  1. Cheers guys didnt really consider adjustable coilovers because i thought they was too expensive..... but ive found a set on flea-bay for £479.99.
  2. Hi guys, im just wondering if anyone has lowered an octy mk1 vrs by more than -20mm ??. mine is lowered -20mm with koni springs and sits on 18" boss redline rims. but im not really happy with the way it looks. i think it sits too high. so im thinking of 1 of 2 things. 1: go back down to a 17" rim and get a shorter spring kit ( if possible ) 2: go with 225/35/18 tyres instead of 225/40/18 and "trim" the current springs. Im not keen on trimming the springs to get the look i want but im running out of ideas. so any advice would be most welcome.
  3. Hhhhmmmmm......... i think im gonna have to say no. a bit too over-the-top for me.
  4. Cheers to all. had some great feedback
  5. Yea i contacted Blue Flame direct as i work just round the corner from thier Skelmersdale depot, an they give me the same quote. i told the guy at Urban-Racing an he sed he would match it. probably would have done the brakes myself, but i wasnt sure wether the brake warning light on the dash would go out. So u think this is a little pricey ? its just that when i had my Vectra, a cat back Powerflow system for that was £398 from Top-Gear. Beretta, how much was your cat from blueflame if u dont mind. then i dont get ripped off ?
  6. Well ive not replaced the cat yet but Urban-Racing can do me a 3" down pipe, so may be worth waiting till i get that done. think the quote was £200 for the down pipe. And i'll sort out some kind of audio or video file no probs.
  7. Just want to say that im over the moon with the work ive just had done on my 53 plate octy vrs. i took my car to Urban-Racing in St.Helens as reccomended by a friend. the guy there fit me a 3" custom Blue Flame system with a 6x4 oval tail pipe. i must say i was a bit wary of havin a big pipe fitted incase it sounded stupid, but how wrong was i ?. the noise is deep an grumbles when ticking over. So i got them to fit my front brake pads aswell. they fitted RedStuff ceramics. All for a rather healthy £508.20.
  8. Looks like a bargain. need to replace my belts so i may invest. thanks.
  9. Im Paul from St.Helens in merseyside, England. A couple of days ago i bought myself a 53 plate Octavia Vrs and im hooked. What a car. Was going to buy a Subaru Impreza but when i found out how reasonably priced and fairly cheap this Skoda is to run, i couldnt resist. I just love the puzzled look on boy racers faces, as they wonder whats just blew they're beloved Corsa away. So ive got a 3 month wait till my warranty runs out from the dealership, then the modding begins. From a new and well pleased Skoda owner.
