Can anyone else confirm if the Fabia 2 takes H7 bulbs, or does it depend on which type of headlight you have. Also, i am not bothered about the sidelights after reading the horror stories about trying to change the bulbs. Can someone please confirm if changing the main headlight bulbs is pretty straight forward. Are there any videos on youtube yet

The handbook says it is only correct at the time of printing as oil grades change. The castrol site recommends the following for the fabia II 1.4tdi EDGE 5W-30, however it also says the below. http://www.castrol.com/castrol/iframe.do?categoryId=9024084&contentId=7044829 Additional for model year 2000 onward only; using EO VWG 503.00/503.01/505.01/506.00/506.01, currently approved products are either 0W-X, 5W-X or 10W-X according to requirements of each specification (must not be used in earlier models) Not sure exactly what that means, however i will attempt to get it in writing from skoda. When i spoke to the the official call centre, they said it was ok.

Ok guys, thakyou for your help, but do you have any official skoda documentation quoting this. I did not mishear what the person quoted.

OK, well thanks for scaring the life out of me I have just called skoda on 08457 745 745 and asked what oil is suitable for the skoda fabia II 1.4tdi. They informed me the three following oils are suitable. Please note, i did not tell them which oil i have. 507 00 505 00 505 01 So, it is suitable. ( i had never heard of oil being referred to as this ever, ive learnt something new)

Hi all, How on earth do i reset the trip computer. I cant seem to work it out.

Here's the breakdown for mine Oil Filter £6.29 Sump Screw £1.27 Screen Wash £2.63 3.8 Litres of Castrol Magatec £28.50 Charge for disposal of environmental waste £5 A11 Service to check brakes , antifreeze + more £32.50 Net £76.19 Vat £13.33 Total £89.52

I just queried the price in Swindon, it has been changed to £90 inc vat.

Ii have just been quoted £175 for the first service at fish brothers in Swindon. Off to gloucester for me i think.
