  2. Hi, Are the glow plugs used for the Fabia vRS with the later BLT engine code the same as previous vRS engines? Cheers, Chris
  3. Thanks for the replies. Looks like I don't have to panic then!
  4. Hi, I went out to my 06 Fabia vrs this morning (at a pretty chilly -2degC) and when I started it the coolant warning light came on. I had a check of the level and it seemed fine (a little bit above the marked minimum) so I carried on to work. The car heated up normally and sat at the normal 90 degrees. When I got to work i switched the car off then back on again - no coolant warning light came on. Any thought on what could be causing this? Faulty sensor? Or is the light really sensitive to being close to the marked minimum? Cheers for any assistance!
  5. Am I missing something? According to the ABI site posted earlier, the information for the vRS is; SKODA FABIA VRS TDI (130) 1 1896cc 2004 5 - Diesel Manual 46514301 9 E T1 With the final "T1" being the Security rating. I presume that means Thatcham Cat 1? Chris
  6. An option that hasn't really been mentioned is Heated Seats - I have them on my vRS and think they're fantastic. A bargain at
  7. I don't think that's the case. My facelift vRS was built after my business colleagues, but still comes with the Michelins over his Continentals. Chris
  8. Hi there, I'm getting a friend to wire up a lead so I can use the telephone features of the Symphony head unit with a Nokia Bluetooth Carkit. I just wanted to check that the following page detailed the correct connectors for this unit? http://www.packetradio.co.uk/Cars/octavia/radio.htm Cheers for any help! Chris
  9. ...there was a problem. :( It looks like a bit of grit or something has been caught up in the mixture at the painting stage, as theres a raised spec on the passenger door near the wing mirror. :( Dealer was most apologetic, and said they would get onto Skoda immediatly to authorise the repair. He seemed to think they would respray most of the door to blend it in. My problem is that do I really want paintwork done on a brand new car? Its red, and if it looks a different shade under a light or in a few months time i'll cry There is also a small chip out of the mirror. I think i might get them to spray the mirror, but leave the door alone. What do you guys think? Apart from that i'm loving it! Chris
  10. A friend had this problem with his VW Golf GT TDi 130. It turned out it was a hose somewhere that had become kinked. The first symptom was the turbo only giving boost starting from about 2500rpm, then eventually the boost disappeared completely. Although sometimes if he turned off the engine then on again it would get better. Chris
  11. Bit better than the cycling through the clock display i'd imagine though? Chris
  12. Hi, I've found these pictures on the Czech Skoda website. The interesting picture is on the bottom right. It seems to show the Audi/VW style of trip computer and looks very cool! I wonder if this is the computer on the higher up models with the facelift. Or perhaps its only the display you get with Sat Nav. Anyone have any thoughts? http://www.skoda-auto.com/cze/model/fabia/fabia/gallery/ Chris
  13. I was wondering about that actually. VW Group cars often come with odd little changes like this for new model years (like Aero Wipers on most MY03 Golfs). I wonder what the other changes for the 2005MY might be - along with the new back lights. Someone must be getting theirs soon? Chris
  14. Hi there, My Fabia vRS should hopefully be arriving next month, and i was looking at the possibility of fitting Aero Wipers on it a la the current Polo. Has anyone done this? Can you use the wipers off the Polo or does another model's wipers fit? Cheers, Chris
