  1. This is a sort of common problem to AUB Fabias... I also had it. It will get wrong coding again if u disconnect battery for longer time. In my case (back in 2003-2006) I was not able to use AC because of "wrong coding". As soon as I have recoded the 0071 the AC was working perfect
  2. 1.8T is also developed by Audi and was mounted quite early on Octavia
  3. As long as the main body remains the same (even the bonnet is identical with O2 version 1) I would not call it Octavia 3. A pair of front lights, a steering-wheel and new radios does not qualify for O3. I hope!
  4. It is possible. I found this on a German website... Car Concepts ilg - FSI und Autogas ab sofort möglich ! And also this CGS Car Gas System GMBH - Voltran CGS Kit Check the fuel consumption of this guy! 0,36 l/100km Detailansicht: Skoda - Octavia - Elegance 1.6 MPI
  5. I am using Octavia 2 1.6 FSI in Germany (37k km now). I drive a lot city and sometimes highway (2 persons). I never felt that I need more power. We had a 4 adults trip for about 1500km and the car was pleasant to drive, offering a nice 6.5 l/100 average fuel consumption. I use a mixture of 95 and 98 gas (half/half when I tank ) The engine is a bit noisy (maybe because of chain?) and it misses a lot the 6speed gearbox that is available on Audi A3 and Golf 5. If you drive more in the city I'd go for 1.6 FSI. If you drive a lot highway with more than 130 km/h or a lot of hills then better 1.8TFSI Or, if you can wait, you have the chance to buy maybe at the end of the year the O2 facelift with 1.4T 122BHP (1.6 FSI successor). PS: Do not forget the rear parking sensors from the order. IMHO they are a must for O2
  6. Great! If that works, no need for other software. Thanks!
  7. Hi Can I use my HEX-CAN interface (that works natively with VAG-COM) with some other OBD generic software (like OBDKey)? I plan to diagnose a Ford (that has also CAN protocol). Will the interface be self-destroyed by the inbuilt protection mechanism? Thx!
  8. No "adaptive light". It will simply switch on the fog light on the side of the curve... of course at speeds under 40km/h Like Mercedes does since few years. The fog light have a "special" design inside, will light better that normal ones on sides. Very useful in dark parkings...
  9. I think it is not a problem. It is just a bit of vibration that u feel when u depress the clutch. Matter of getting used...
  10. It is possible to tell... by checking the software version (also vagcom). AFAIR version SW5002 is first one that is ok. And yes, Skoda knows about units, and they change them on warranty (unit or just software, that I do not know).
  11. I did reduce the sensitivity with vagcom to half. But that brought nothing. Finally I got new sensor on warranty. Old sensors are too sensitive. With the new one, no more false alarms. I noticed that the part number did not change, only the software version.
  12. I feel a bit of judder, but I did not pay attention to it...
  13. Me too.... But maybe it is a feature...not a bug... to have lights on when sun is bright and coming to the car..so the other can see you
  14. The buttons from CZ were new when u got them? Or they come from the HIGH number of stolen and dismantled Octavias there? I'm just curious, no offence.
