Ah fair enough, looks like it will be the fronts that are easy to fit, the rears I will need to go ahead and get funky with. although £70 for a retrim on the front makes me wonder how much the fronts would be too.

Right then people, hoping you can help me out and save me from looking like a total tool in front of the missus. I have aquired a set of black seats from a mk4 golf. I thought I would start on the rears as that was where I understood the most work would occur. I fitted the small base in seconds. Brilliant, easy job! Next came the small back which clicked in the bottom ok, however the brace halfway up the back was in totally the wrong position. Then I went to fit the large base and back where all the fittings were in the wrong place. I am after guidance now as I know some people have done and I'm wondering how..... So i went off in a mood and fitted my LCR splitter instead. Still dont know if i'm keeping this car or selling it as the interior and leak doors are doing my head in!

Well I've got my first cheapy which by looking at what others are being priced at appears to be under market value so fingers crossed. I didnt put my location as I'm not a freedom member and didnt want to be seen as abusing the forum. I work for a main dealer garage so should see a few bargains go through. cheers for the pointers though guys. Didnt think about the neccessary evils regarding permits etc. something I should watch as I dont want to end up on the wrong side of the law.

I have recently thought about trying to buy and sell a few cars on the side of my normal work. question is though, are 2nd hand car prices high or low at the moment? just wondering if it will worth it? or just alot of hassle for not alot of gain.

Hello mate, My car is a black magic 55 plate (06 registered) fabia VRs, all the usual equipment. no mods although if you wanted I do have an LCR splitter I was going to put on it. it has just clocked over to 93k just passed its MOT with one advisory which was the console bush on the O/S which has been done now. good condition and a strong car.
