  1. Ok so had a dig around and here's 1 option Currys - Shop for Power Supplies - JEANTECH SI-A300P3 300W MICRO ATX POWER SUPPLY UNIT Specs are here for quick viewing let me know what you are planning to run inside the box and we can do a voltage measurement, I have used Jeantech before without problems (although some people slate them) of note is the dual 12v rails this is in my view a must. Jeantech SI-A300P3 300W Micro ATX PSU Silence Auto Fan Control Built In Temperature Sensor Over Voltage//Short Circuit Protection SATA Connector 24 Pins (20+4) Power Connector Dual 12V Rail (V1+V2) Passive PFC Hmm Also this COULD be the nuts for microATX Newegg.com - SeaSonic SS-350SFE 350W SFX12V V3.1 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies
  2. Always avoid 'value' brands for PSU's yes they are usually cost effective but are noisy and very short lived, go with something branded, thermaltake are a good option also see if pc power and cooling offer an solution these are bulletproof PSU's. Although having just done a quick search it seems you are right about there being a lack of options this appears to be a side effect of a lot of the newer slim style cases being able to accomodate the full size PSU's... but whatever you do don't skimp on this part
  3. Hmmmm,,,, Seen you before haven't we ????
  4. Best for me would have to be Konk by the Kooks although there would be soo many others that deserve acclaim 2008 has been a GOOD year for music
  5. Could be a failing wheel bearing hence the 'rumbling' you describe this would eventually seize the wheel, jack it up at all four corners handbrake off and spin the wheel if you hear a grinding sound while turning by hand then it's the bearing if this is failing it will be cooking the grease this would account for the smell..
  6. I've heard of this many times, never understand why Manufacturers use plastic but hey makes more money on spares I guess.... I always have the pump changed on cam belt changes ... always better than having the cam belt changed then having it off again to do the pump.
  7. Never thought of that my fronts did wear out pretty quick on stock pressures and most of the wear was on the shoulders..
  8. There is a live that runs to the standard ariel from the head unit, when I swapped my HU out I bought an adaptor to run the power to the ariel.. there are some posts about it on here do a search and i'm sure you can find the part number..
  9. Congrats ! and thanks for feeding the resolution back
  10. You'd never be able to keep the water out unless it was completly sealed but then you wouldn't be able to open the window!! there are drain holes in the door so it should run out almost as quick as it comes in..
  11. Doh!! how did I miss the whole had to put 1.5 litres in it :orb_sleep
  12. Yep I had to do this with my VRS as the rear tires wear so little and were starting to show signs of perishing, I had them swapped to the front, lets just say we had to get all medieval on those wheels to shift em!!
  13. Might be worth checking the VAG-COM members (in the VAG com section) who may assist list then dropping a PM someone may be kind enough to help for beer tokens
  14. LOL!! another quality Skoda part eh? still the dealers couldn't find this ???? WTF
