  1. Should be this one. It was taken a couple of years ago, now there are additional black B-pillar covers installed, everything else stays pretty much the same.
  2. Luckily I ran accross this topic 2 days ago as my car was scheduled for 105kkm regular service today. It had all the mentioned symptoms (radio off, internal light erratic behaviour, automatic window opening). I was afraid that something more serious was going on. Today the switch was replaced with the latest 1K0 905 849 B revision and all the functionality is back again. Efficient fix for a small amount of money. Really happy.
  3. Before was better. I just hate black alloys.
  4. Led tail lights Rear spoiler B-pillar covers New Skoda badges Exhaust pipe endings Some internal bling-bling Some external bling-bling And of course a set of nice 17" wheels.
  5. My fears have come true, after a month of non-smoking motoring the smoke from exhaust is back. The final verdict is faulty turbine, which is slowly leaking oil into the intercooler pipe. Too soon, damn thing... :$$$:
  6. Back from the garage. They found quite a substantial amount of oil in the intercooler pipes, cleaned the whole mess, checked the oil for gasoline and water, all OK, checked the turbo, which is OK, too. Smoke is gone at this moment, but I'm afraid it will return as nothing major has been done to remove the cause. What could be the cause for oil in the intercooler?
  7. Ade, thanks for your answers. I'm not a mechanic and I didn't do anything myself. My mechnic didn't mention any oily park plugs. There's no blue smoke on start up, it smokes only on idle / very low revs and when warmed up. No leaks were found outside the engine, I'm using the VAG "prescribed" oil (Shell Helix Ultra AV-L, don't know the viscosity right now, changed in my service garage). Anyway, tomorrow it's off to the service garage and I will keep my fingers crossed for a reasonable repair costs...
  8. As said, compression tests were all OK, also engine sensors showed no decrease / error in pressure. Thanks.
  9. Hi all. I would like to hear your opinions on my problem. The car is 2008 1.8TSI Elegance O2 with 98.000 km on the clock. On low revs (for example on standstill) and warmed up engine there's quite a lot of "rich odour" smoke coming from the exhaust. Engine uses a lot of oil (coolant level stays unchanged). When driving there's no smoke, car pulls OK without any evidence of a problem, there's no error in car's computer. The first idea was water in fuel, after cleaning the system we have eliminated this cause. Compression test (and sensors) showed no leakage. The next two ideas are 1) turbine on it's way out and 2) leaking valve seals. I guess the turbine would be "smoking" on high revs, too. On the other hand it's a bit early for a turbine failure... What do you think? Of course I've got a service booked already, but they are alse searching for the error on the basis of "trial and error" method.
  10. A mix of Audi A6, A4 and new front Skoda design. Rear viper had to go. Green dashbord illumination changed for a white one, all other buttons still in green. Wierd. Otherwise a nice looking car, still waiting for the price tag.
  11. 230/230v socket is a great feature. No need for additional car phone / laptop / battery chargers. I was considering buying an additional 12V --> 220V converter many times (but have actually never bought one) as my Jumbo-Box is full of cables and car chargers for variuos gadgets.
  12. These pictures are a few months old. Skoda Rapid Spaceback is coming next year.
  13. Of course I've got a suggestion. Ignore it. It does the same on my 1.8 TSI, but has covered almost 100kkm without any problems.
