  1. That's the info they gave me too. You are right that Sygic is just a certified Mirrorlink app, and in itself won't make the handset work with the car, just that it should be allowed to remotely display on the head unit whilst the vehicle is moving. Don't spend your money on it - I couldn't get it to work on the Galaxy S6 with purchased Sygic.
  2. Hi Puntable, Think I'd ignore the compatibilitylist.skoda-auto.com site - it just confuses matters further and makes you spend more money on phones that don't actually work! I tried an Galaxy S6 (although not Edge) - no good as others have reported. Says connected but blank screen on the Bolero. Also not working despite having Mirrorlink: Samsung Galaxy S5, S5 mini, Note 4 HTC Desire 620, 820, One M9 Unreliable: Sony Xperia Z3/Z3 Compact (connects but screen doesn't update in sync with phone) Working (for me, at the moment): HTC One M8
  3. Think you're missing the point here. We don't expect it to work with an iPhone, Mirrorlink isn't supported by Apple. We do expect it to work with phones which are listed by the CCC as certified on the Mirrorlink website. This is the site Skoda referred to in the original Fabia brochure as the site to check for compatibility. I did and my phone (and virtually all others listed) just don't work....
  4. Thanks Mick, that's what I thought. I'm going round the dealer again later today, so more ammo is always useful. So you have the m8 then?
  5. Even if you do get the right pieces that are supposed to make it work, the experience is still useless. I have now tried a Sony Xperia Z3 with Sygic. Good news: no longer "restricted" on the move. Bad news: screen rarely updates on the Bolero. I can see it working correctly on the phone - but the display doesn't update. So you'd get lost if you were relying on it, as you are shown to be a couple of miles behind where you actually are. My dealer says it may be the USB cable, but am using the Sony supplied one. Anyone else had this happen?
  6. I'm a bit late to the party on this one and thought it was all my fault. I had a Galaxy Note 4 that I thought would be compatible as it was listed as having Mirrorlink certification for 1.1 (which we now know means nothing), how wrong could I be! So having bought a new HTC (£300+) , Sygic Nav+Speed Camera (£95), the screen still goes off whilst on the move. Anybody else see "The mobile device is restricted"? The Bolero manual says something about "Check if the date is correctly set in the device". Yes, it is.
