  1. This might help... http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=145572 http://pics.tdiclub.com/data/517/A4_Air_Conditioning_Troubleshooting_Rev_7.pdf http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=242699
  2. Airflow gives the ECU information on amount of air entering engine, so it can deliver enough fuel. MAF is located before the EGR, so amount of air is measured long before the manifold. Understand where I'm going with this? And the MAP just measures boost pressure. Or am I mistaking?
  3. It is ECU controlled, I agree, but how can it know are there any exaust gases entering manifold or not? There is no sensor on manifold. Or I'm missing something...
  4. I'm pretty sure that EGR is not activated on high revs. Only below 2000 rpm. And if you blank it with blanking plate, it shouldn't trigger CEL. EGR is vacuum controlled, not electronically, it doesn't know are the exaust gases entering manifold or not. I have blanked EGR on friends A3, 1.9 PD, almost 20 000 miles, no CEL...
  5. Your friend's engine is probably 1.9 TDI PD 105HP. My friend bought A3 with same engine, 2004, I think, and dyno showed 116HP.
  6. Key can be coded using VAG-COM. You can find procedure on Ross-Tach site.
  7. I know that AZQ engine had problem with timing chain, but I tought that issue was resolved in 2003. or something like that. Ok, I'll test compression, than I'll see. Thanks everyone... I'll report back...
  8. I forgot to mention that I have replaced fuel filter. It is pressure regulated, so only one thing elese could cause low fuel pressure, fuel pump. But then I would experience power loss. On high revs it runs great, or should I say, runs as good as it can for 64HP engine... Sorry if my grammar is bad...
  9. Lately I'm having some trouble with my engine. On idle, sometimes it has rough ide. it is very irregular, and last a second. Second problem is when I'am slowing down, rpm (clutch disconected) tend to drop to 500, and the ECU returns them to normal. No error loged, on blocks I see one or two misfires. Lambda within operating parameters. Thrrotle body was cleaned, and adjusted, intake manifold checked for leaks, injector cleaned, coil plugs repalced. Only other thing that comes to my mind is MAP. Any ideas? Tnx
