vrs and 1.9tdi aftermarket spring compatibility
Static replied to Static's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Thanks, just as suspected. Lowering springs for 1.9tdi going back on ebay then! -
Hi I bought a set of eibach pro springs for 1.9tdi Part number = E10-79-001-02-22 . I have since found out the vrs eibach pro springs are a different part number. Have seen aftermarket springs from other manufacturers that are sold with compatibility for both models so was wondering if it's worth putting them on a vrs. Unless anyone knows of what difference there is between them?

Guess I will have to take it in for a check. Don't think its brake light that works and cel only comes on when starting first time in the morning. Wonder if it could be a bad battery?
-
Well this is the strange thing, if I scan for fault code it says no fault code found, although it will clear the cel light!
-
Hi I have had a CEL light on for a while, cleared it using my shark STS, after about a mile the light comes back on. I have now had the egr replaced and the cel light has disappeared and I can drive around all day starting and stopping the engine and it stays away. Go to start the car the next morning and the light comes back on! Has anyone got any idea why after the car resting overnight, the light comes back on?

replacement intercooler pipes for BLT
Static replied to Static's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
thanks for the info peeps, food for thought! -
Unless you get the arches from the rally car...

Intercooler pipes are getting worn and im going to cable tie them but in the long term may look into replacing with better quality pipes. Thing is im not going to do the EGR delete as i have a BLT engine. Are there pipes that would fit onto the EGR?

Replaced dog bone mount - what a difference
Static replied to Static's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Bit like the old issue of standard air filter vs after market ones isnt it. Buy an uprated bush for £60 chatter chatter wheres me teeth gone, Or just change the standard part every 50000 miles for £30 a time... -

Mines on 53k -
Changed the dog bone mount as i thought it may need doing, only costs £32. Easy job, couldnt believe the difference, car feels like new. I did have a problem with the bolt through the middle of the dog bone mount coming loose at around 35k so perhaps thats why its made a difference on mine. Also because mine is remapped it feels better when accelerating at 2200rpm than before, sometimes even at 2500rpm it still rumbled, now its all gone, transmission is tightly attached as it was when new.

This has happened to me countless times... it always goes away and might not happen again for weeks or months.

Totenham riots - isolated incident or indicitive event?

What worries me is that obviously the parents of these kids cant control them or they themselves dont give a damn. So these kids in next year or too... maybe longer... will prob will get someone pregnant and the next generation will be even worse. The answers not nice but... leave it to your imagination. Im quite a liberal person but enoughs enough, human rights act needs to be adjusted, we need compulsory weekly lessons in school teaching respect, dignity and social awareness and also bring back the cane. Sadly i think the government actually will see this as a green light for more surveillance and maybe even chipping people one day. Hello 1984. Those of us who are law abiding will suffer in the long run and liberties taken away and if the police are too scared to act because of their past behaviour and mistakes then camerons image of people power will mean more vigilantes. Also i suspect the police with low morale and threats of cuts in numbers really dont feel like taking action, and as a I said there wary of being taken to court themselves if seen to be too heavy handed. -
a vrs with non vrs bumper?, an exhaust that points down? , a vrs which only does 35mpg? im confused seems all too weird to me!
