  1. Hi all, just bought myself a 2014 Skoda Superb Elegance 2014 170bhp an I love it. I have a quick question if any one could help would be great. It has factory fitted rear parking sensors with auditable Beeps an also displayed on the radio screen. Is it possible to retro fit front sensors or will it require replacing the head unit also? Any info greatly appreciated
  2. Thanks for this i will have a look at the bungs for cable for the bonnet release to see if there is any evidence of water leaking into the driver footwell. You say a faulty pedal would this still be the case as when i remove my foot from accelerator and begin to brake I can still feel the engine giving little power surges. I will post up any progress. Do you have any idea where the ECU is ? Anyone else have this issue or any more info thanks
  3. Hi all hope some one can help here. 1.9tdi 130bhp Skoda superb 05 elegance. Approx 1 week ago this issue started. Car starts drives and idles fine however when rpm goes over 1500-2000rpm and I lft off the accelerator it begins to chug when trying to slow down and it won't slow down without clutching or braking, it's almost as if there is little surges of power it happens at all speeds and also when using cruise control. It accelerates as normal. I have been to local mechanic who put it on a diagnosis system but no faults showing. Has anyone experienced anything like this or know wat it could be I would be very grateful of any help Thanks Danny
  4. Hi all, I have a 2005 skoda superb elegance, just had a problem start today and need help. Suddenly when trying to unlock the car with remote fob nothing happens so I had to unlock manually with key into the door which the sounded the alarm. dont think its the battery as it still locks the car and unlocks the boot lid. any one have the same issue ? how was it resolve ? any ideas? many thanks
  5. Hi people, I have an intermittant problem with my indicators. They seem to flash twice as fast as they should excatly like they do when you have a fused bulb. I have checked all my bulbs and all are ok. all left and right signals work, just click twice as fast. Had the car to a dealer who diagnosed the problem to the hazzard light switch, so that was replaced. seemed ok for a day or so and is now back again?? I have noticed that this ONLY seems to happen in the rain or after washing the car. I think water must be getting into something and causes a short circut then when drys out works fine again?? Any one had this problem or any ideas how to resolve?? I dont have a clue where to start looking the clicking is slowly driving me mad lol
  6. hi baker21, thanks for ur response. I cannot hear the whistle sound wen I accerate hard or above speeds of approx 40mph. only seems to be there wen driving slow with rpm of between 1800 and 2500. I will get a look at the intercooler pipes tomarrow wen im off work and let you know how i get on. cheers
  7. :confused:Hi folks, I drive a Skoda Superb Elegance 1.9tdi (130) has been mapped now puts out around 170 aprox. Any way last week I was driving with the radio down low Inoticed the engine making a whistling sound in low gears at slow speeds ( never done this before) I think it is the Turbo?? Although the car hasnt lost any power I am now reluctant to sink the boot just incase I blow my turbo. Has any one had to replace a turbo and does any one know is this a tell tale sign of a turbo in the last legs?? Any info anyone can give would be very welcome Thanks veedubdan
  8. Cheers for the reply people. Alot of useful info. Had the car put on Vag computer today but shows no faults at all. My mechanic thinks difference in tyre treads may cause the traction control to over compensate thus flashing the light. So I changed the other tyre today still same fault but computer shows nothing??? A friend of mine sugested possible damage to front suspension (Shock) may cause the traction control to cut in as it would make that wheel lighter. Any one agree?? If so how do I know by looking at the shocks if they are done in?? many Thanks again Veedubdan
  9. Hi M8, Sounds like you need to replace CV joint or joints. I had same problem just before Xmas. Quite easily fixed with a good mechanic. To double check this cut the wheels out left and right and get down looking in behind the wheel for a rubber housing if you notice this dosed or cracked it will need replaced I paid £50 for a joint (non genuine) and £30 to get fitted job done
  10. Hi Everyone, On the way to work this morn I hit a pot hole and busted a Tyre agggg!! Well anyways had to replace a tyre but ever since the Traction control light intermitanly flashes sometimes for up to 1 min cutting back my power. Does any one know what this indicates seems worse when climbing slops in the road??? Is it possible that I damaged somthing when hitting the pot hole?? Any info on this greatly welcomed Many Thanks Veedubdan

  12. Hi All, I have an 05 1.9tdi (130bhp) superb, my second one. When the car sits idle cold or hot the engine is shaking and vibrating alot. Have had all the usuals checked engine/ gearbox mounts all fine. Also shows no faults on VAG computer. Car runs perfect otherwise but is bugging me as I no the previous one the engine looked solid when idle. If you increase the revs very slightly on the accerater it is fine. Any ides welcome folks?

Decided I would check the carpet any how but is 100% dry no leeks or dampness to be found thanks anyways. Anyone else had this issue?? or any ideas what it could be??
