  1. Thanks for the advise. All sorted after roadside assistance came round and did a reset / battery disconnect. Fired up with 420 miles on the gauge. As an aside, he popped the bonet and my vehicle has no engine cover on it. Just the wiring looms exposed and the 4 mounts for the missing cover. Is that normal. He reckoned not...
  2. Hi. I hope this is an easy one. I have a brand new (4 month old) Kodiaq with a virtual cockpit and filled her up recently when at around 30 miles remaining in the tank. Filled up the tank with around £90 of unleaded and drove the remaining 10+ miles home fine. When I got in the car this morning, the fuel gauge is on red and it says I have 10 miles remaining in the tank. Is this an issue that can be fixed without disconnecting the battery (as advised by Skoda servicing), or taking it in for a check? Can I drive it around? I doubt I could even get to my local Skoda dealer with the fuel gauge as it is Could the pump have charged me £90 and put no fuel in (is that even a thing?). I felt the fuel go in and there was some spillage when I removed the nozzle. What happens when the gauge reaches zero? Thank. Aub
  3. Thanks all. I will pass that on. On the Thule 959220 WingBar Edge Complete All-in-One Rack, they come in XS, S M, L and XL. Which are the right ones?
  4. Hello. I have looked at several threads to no avail. My in laws want to get me something for Xmas and I am looking to get some bars / bike rack so that my wife and I can take off with our mountain bikes. Rather than have them hanging off the rear, I wanted to get some Thule or equivalent manufacturer that would fit my 2017 Kodiaq Can anyone give me some appropriate part codes, as when i put in Kodiaq on the Thule site, I get 9 versions, all with various different specs - https://www.thule.com/en-gb/buyers-guide?c=roof+racks&q=n7WJxJ3dD Also, when I have the bars, I then need the actual bike rack, which is not even something i've researched yet. I guess I am looking for something like this. https://parkers-images.bauersecure.com/gallery-image/pagefiles/265964/1752x1168/skoda-bike-rack-002.jpg Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Lol a grand. Thanks but no thanks. If you could swap them at point of purchace it might be worth it.
  6. I bumped into a UK used skoda kodiaq with anthracite (dark) triglav wheels over on autotrader. I really like them, even over the normal ones. Where do you think they came from? Aftermarket, European purchase? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201709069035999?onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&aggregatedTrim=SE L&radius=1500&model=KODIAQ&postcode=sl62yn&advertising-location=at_cars&sort=sponsored&make=SKODA&page=2&advert-type=ymal
  7. Kind of. Took a test drive and was ready to go, but opted to go through carwow and Ruislip. Saves an additional grand , plus 400 more on my part-ex. 2.0 TDI SE L DSG in petrol blue with a pano roof.
  8. I just watched the overview of the Karoq and it has a fully digital display instead of the dials / maxidot. I wonder when / if the Kodiaq will get this too. See vid.
  9. Thanks. Order placed today. 4k off with Carwow, plus some equity in my current Superb which was handy, Went for a 2.0 TDI SE L DSG in Petrol Blue, with the Trigs and a Pano roof. Had to go black interior due to kids. My blonde Superb has never been the same since they started growing up in it.
  10. Hi. I'm about to take advantage of Skoda's £2k contribution deal (plus the additonal £1k discount for taking a test drive) and place an order in Sept. Before I do, I wanted to check if anyone knows of any upcoming changes to a) the discount / contributions from Skoda post Sept (that may be more that that which is already available), b.) any spec changes, colours etc.. Sods law I place my order and they come out with a bunch of new colours, trims, engines etc.. or throw in some extra £ discount.
  11. Hi. I've got around 6 months to go on an existing 42 month PCP agreement, having put down a £6k deposit through the sale of an old car on a Superb L&K which was originally up for £23k. I'm paying £260pm at the moment and want to move to a Kodiaq SE 5-door 2.0 TDI around Xmas and have booked a test drive in the next week. What is concerning me at the moment is the potential deposit I might have to drop on the new car (not having any significant savings) and the potential equity left in the current car. WIth the emissions scandal, i'm not sure what the valuation is going to be. I'm doing around 11k a year in it and it's in pretty good nick for a 14 plate with 35k on the clock. I'm going to my local dealer in the next week or so for a test drive, but if and when the conversation turns to money and a new contract, what can I expect them to offer. Do they just use the Skoda finance calculator to come up with a quote? How could I potentially work out the equity in the current car in advance. Will different garages give different valuations? What can I expect? Some guidance would be really handy.
  12. Hi guys. I've just taken consignment of a three month old superb L&K on a 42 month PCP. The dealer was giving me information on both alloy wheel protection, GardX and the dent and scratch cover. While I declined the GardX I went with the alloy wheel cover because of the diamond cut alloys that appear to be particularly difficult to fix and that standard insurance companies won't cover if they are chipped, scuffed or curbed. As for the scratch and dent cover, I found a bundled deal with my gap insurer, but I am concerned that I will not be able to make full use of it over the term having read the small print which pretty much exclude everything under the sun. Has anyone got any experience of how good these covers are, and whether regular detailing and maintenance albeit from an amateur will suffice. I'm loathed to pay £210 for this cover and find that the insurance company decline to fix something on a technicality, when I could hand the car back at the end of the term and Skoda barely deduct anything from the final value. Thoughts? I'm still in the 14 day cooling off period and would like some advice thank you.
