  1. Wrap it bud, did mine in 30 mins with the spoiler on the car and looks champion. Use proper 3M dinoc though - it's well worth the extra pounds over all the copy stuff on ebay.
  2. Where did you source your catch can? I struggled to find one with 19mm hose attachments at the time and gave up so bodged my own using a 'magic bullet' container. I've since done around 80k miles but doesn't look pretty LOL BTW a screw cap from a bottle of any pop bungs the outlet nicely, I also used washing machine waste pipe which gives you an OEM look. I also still haven't had the CEL light mapped out but it doesnt really bother me.
  3. I've been running a DIY 'Magic Bullet' catch can for a couple years but it's a poor substitute for a proper job. put me down for one!
  4. As above fairy liquid and hotter than average water!
  5. Hi Mike, What with all the Mantis threads on here I feel like I work for JML customer service at the minute... To answer your question, yes the 'JML Bobble Off' will do a good SAFE job of removing the bobbles from your seat, it certainly wont do any harm. If nothing else you can restore a few winter woolies in time for the bad weather! Thanks, John
  6. Hi Threadbear, I work in the post production dept at JML and have made all the Mantis films including the 'rally shoot' you mention. I can ask our PR dept (v nicely) to send you a bottle if you fancy giving it a go! Thanks, John
  7. PM me your address and I'll ask our very nice PR dept if they'll post you a bottle out (if we have any stock at HO). Thanks, John
  8. Here's the TV ad I directed and edited recently for Mantis Instant Shine using a black Focus ST. Thanks, John
  9. You're welcome Dave, there's another few members on here we (JML) shipped bottles to so hopefully they'll see this and write their views. Thanks, John
  10. I'm pretty sure the indy garage I use (Autohaus Dolby in Sheffield) puts the same oil in mine, 5W30 I think it is.

  12. Yeah mines the same bud, I really noticed it when I stuck the bypass pipe in!
  13. I found the edge of the Eagle F1s very square and under heavy cornering they rubbed my arches! Ive had 3 sets of Toyo T1rs and have just switched to a set of Flaken ZE912 (still listed as a fast road tyre), the tread pattern is not as sexy as the toyos but for a slightly cheaper option I honestly cannot tell any difference in grip. They also have some funky channels or grooves near the outer edge for better wet weather driving. So far so good, I only get around 10k miles out the Toyo's so I'll see how these fair. John
  14. This is quite interesting guys, before I start this post - car detailing is a hobby of mine and consider myself knowledgable enough to know the rights and wrongs when it comes to washing a car - for a job I manage the post production dept at a company called JML and have made all the promotional films including the TV Ads for a product range called Mantis. One of the products is very similar to the above, called Mantis Instant Shine, I have a lot of experience with waterless car cleaners having tested some of the competitors against ours and I have to say I was quite impressed with the cleaning properties and basic shine you get using Mantis Instant Shine. Personally I use it more as a QD spray but it honestly does do a fair job if you're pushed for time and dont have access to water. I'm not privvy to the exact ingredients but there is some sort of 'silicone gloss boosters' that lift the dirt from the paint work to prevent scratching / swirling, all of the cars I used in the shoots were cleaned with this product and all the owners were stunned with the results. It goes against all the rules I know and only time (and a brinkman) will tell but it does seem to work, not only that but the product leaves a certain level of 'protection', certainly if it's rained the water does bead quite nicely, not as much as a few layers of wax or something but water does indeed bead! The only place you can't really use the product is the windows as it causes them to streak, as for all other paintwork etc you simply spray, wipe with an MF cloth and then buff with another MF cloth to reveal a shine. I could possibly sort a few bottles if any fellow Brisky members want to give it a try, to the OP Willskoda drop me a PM with your address and I'll get our PR dept to send you a bottle - I'd be interested to see what you think compared to the one you bought on Ideal world! Thanks all, John
  15. mines the same, I'll watch this with interest! sounds like a cheap part but pretty labour intensive if I end up taking it to my local vag indy I reckon
