C4 are definately better value for money, they certainly haven't got 180bhp 'standard' though.

Anyone change the colour of my wheels?
SkodaLover replied to oobster's topic in Photography and Photoshop
Problem solved. Doesn't work for me, reminds me of a Rover 200 LE. -

Cheers, I've spent an absolute fortune on mine in the last 2 years too, it's like an addiction. I can't imagine the day I part with it, it's a keeper, I'd be lucky to get back a third of the money I've spent on it. Mine goes very well now, it's probably the fastest point to point car I've had, I'm heading up to Snetterton for a track day in March, I can't wait! -

Good to see some Skodas on there chaps. -
This site has been recently setup http://thrll.com/ It's a great concept and means you can follow car projects of all shapes and sizes. I've chatted to the guy via email and he said it only went live 3 weeks ago, but over the last few days it has really taken off, I guess it has started to percolate through the various forums. He's still working hard on it at the moment, as some of the main functionality is missing, such as updates page of the cars you're following, though he's probably working on that as I type. As I've not shared my new car with Briskoda since selling the Fabia, here's a link to my page here: http://thrll.com/car/12223 Check it out.

New colour for my 18" Zenniths
SkodaLover replied to Nick P's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
FD2 JDM Civic! I think it's a great colour combo, go for it! -
Cool video. LMAO at the two comments though, a bit unfair to say the least! I'm going to Rockingham tomorrow, it looks as though the weather is going to be similar... Might need to put some Aquapel or RainX on my screen as my wipers give up at 90mph... What teg did you have a play with DC2 or DC5?

Eagle F1 tyres - What are you getting?
SkodaLover replied to ethos's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
On my teg, I got 12k out of my last set of Eagle F1s. And that's with quite a lot of spirited driving... -
Accepting "bad" paintwork because the car is used
SkodaLover replied to oliverp's topic in General Automotive Chat
I always try and stay on top of stone chips, probably touch up new ones every month or so, I will not accept them... :P Do you keep a really good distance on the motorway, as that helps no end... -
I met a bad one alright :thumbdwn: At least he had the decency to own up to his insurance company and admit liability, I had the claim processing the very next day. I don't really understand what causes a bike a lowside as I've never ridden anything but a scooter. But the corner is sharp and the hill is steeper than it appears in the photo, he was about a minute from returning home, so you can rule out cold tyres, there's a few stones in the centre markings, but he was on his side long before he reached those... I think a combination of too much speed and not much talent were the main contributing factors...

No blame on my part, I was stationary in a queue of traffic, conditions were good, he was just riding too fast, low sided and skidded into me. I think this explains it, I'm X and the line is the bikers path...
