  1. Hmmm... At the local dealership after my service the other week and they said that you should only use Skoda screenwash otherwise the other branded screenwash can cause the pipes for the rear jet to fail and therefore cause a leak in to the rear section of the car. Thats ok if you've got flies on the inside of your car, but if you haven't it's a problem. Wasn't sure if it was a ploy for more business or not? But I took the rest of the bottle that they put in my car at service time anyway. I use Halfords cheap special offer stuuf that comes in the blue bottle, smells ok and does the job, but might change to the Skoda screenwash when it runs out as I only get flies on the outside of my vRS! 2. I'd never seen the track session with our little beast urinating all over the Cooper before so was utterly thrilled to see it on tv tonight, so much so I shouted up to my Dad "My car's on Top Gear" We both sat and watched the vRS cane round a track, and then he got up and said "That was pretty good wasn't it!" Mega loads of understeer as he (Clarkson, not my Dad) pointed out though, still good to see the understated car getting prime time tv appearance's, wonder if they'll put them in The Italian Job if they ever make a sequel? 3. Hmmm, I appear to have misjudged the Skoda screenwash! Still not happy at all about the quoted price and the price I paid. Skoda UK getting rung by me tomorrow.
  4. Yes another post about someone's first service!!!! Yesterday fitted my PD160 air intake after having it for god know's how long, I thought I'd give it a go at fitting it myself (yes I really am that C**P when it comes to cars and anything technical!) Anyway fitted it and was proud to have grime under my finger nails Can notice the difference already, totally loving it :P Service was today and had been quoted at the desk for a 10k service...
  5. i've done 10500 miles on my Sept 2004 vRS, returning on average 360 - 400 miles off
  6. Very clean seats indeed, look like they've never been sat in?! can u levitate? one small question though... Is it good that your H brake is at that angle, only asking cos mine is probably about half that angle and wont go higher?! Hicksy
  7. Blimey, thanks for the response guys! Have been out in it today and the new position under the parking ticket clip thing seems to have improved it slightly although still losing contact with space every now and again. If things keep going pear or don't improve then I think a call to the Origin people may well be in order, although trying to move out of home at the mo so got loads of other (not necessarily more important) things to do!! Maffwilson you appear to have infinite knowledge with all things to do with GPS and signals, and for that I salute you! Hicksy
  8. Silly question coming up... which side is the left side of the windscreen? The left sitting in the car or looking at the car? Hmmm  I've now relocated mine to behind the B2 unit underneath the parking ticket clip, is this going to be ok or should I put it on the other side (the left if you're sitting in the car!) ? Hicksy
  9. Hmmm, well I'm going to change my antenna to the front dash today, so will see if any change comes from that. Not happy though, keep on having to remember there's a camera coming up. Points don't alawys mean prizes :( Hicksy
  10. Calling anyone with an Origin B2 in their Fabia... I've been having super amounts of trouble with my B2 recently, it's not locking on to any sattelites (v dodge spelling ) my journey to work is over an hour and sometimes it only locks on for a few minutes in total. It used to be fine, but now it all seems to be going a bit pear was wondering whether the fact that I've got my GPS antenna thing on the rear parcel shelf might have something to do with it? is it worth taking it out and placing it on the front dash? anyone else had any similar problems or can shed some light? much appreciated guys and girls Hicksy
  11. Thankyou very much, this was a great help, though i had to resort to sitting in the passenger seat due to my lack of stature, thanks again and a very merry christmas to you. Edited after consulting the dictionary and finding again is spelt again, not agin. my bad. cheers though.
  12. How do i open this glovebox on my car!!?!???
  13. That day was SO much fun, really had a great time meeting everyone and figuring out the quiz route! Thank god my mate could make it otherwise i'd have been stuffed!!! definately have to do another one next year, maybe do it twice annually... March for the spring season and September for the summer season? Roads were a bit too greasy and there was no point in me staying up til crazy hours the night before getting the beast shiney cos it was filthy when I turned up at Clacketts!! Joel... Bit disappointed you didnt play when we left the car park?! I know blatantly you'd have whooped me but I haven't seen an Octy cane it yet! Here's to the next one, and thank you Andy Hicksy
