Hi Guys, Had a slip up a while ago, 1.4mpi fabia understeered and hit a curb side on, i replaced the bottom arm and ball joint, the only other damage was a bent track rod. Ive purchased a new one and was going to fit it later today, just thought i'd ask about the process. From what i see, it looks like both ends are threaded, so i am asuming the rod simple threads out, and the new one in? Looks simple, but theres usually something i overlook! Hi all Was attempting to take out the bottom arm to change the rear bush for MOT. The bottom arm disconnected from the suspension arm perfectly, when we were taking out the front bolt however, the tension was massive on it, despite supporting, moving etc etc. The bolt must have threaded out ok about 3/4's of an inch when with the next turn it just snapped. Leaving the rest of the threaded bar half way between the bottom arm and the undercarriage that supports everything under the engine. Just wondering what my best options are here. Im thinking that i find a mechanic with a tap/dye and have it rethreaded or something like that. Anyone have this experience before? Cost of fixing it? Time etc? All advice and comments appreciated. Hey thanks for the response. Managed to remove the pump, the resevoir had come of its seal with the lower pump. Managed to reseal the two and refill, so its a waiting game now to see if it holds !

Hi guys, My ecu is throwing up a fault code for the O2 sensor. Im just wondering if the process for replacing the sensor is difficult? or if anyone is familiar with the process, whats involved? Are the replacement sensors expensive? Presumably this will affect my MPG is the sensor is not working, correct?# Thanks guys, 2012 p.s. 2001 1.4 MPI Fabia

Hi guys, Just wondering if the PAS pump is difficult to remove? Im taking one out of a 2000 1.9SDI Fabia, as it has a leak between the pump and the resevoir. Going to attempt a reseal! Any advice is appriciated. Thanks guys, 2012.

Hi Guys, My 2000 1.9SDI Fabia has a leak between the power steering pump and the reservoir. (the join). Does anyone know the procedure for repairing this? is it possible to reseal or are new parts required? All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, 2012

Daft as it might sound, I dont think i do haha. No, theres no ABS as far as i know. Where should i be looking in that case?

1.4 8v 2001 fabia comfort. Is it likely it could be something as simple as a loose connection in that it occasionally starts working at random intervals? thanks for your response.

Hi guys, Im having a problem with my cluster instrument, the fuel guage and the mph counter are consistantly dropping out. Most of the time they sit at 0. I contacted a guy in a cluster repair company who told me in this case, the common problem is that there is no signal coming from the ABS module. Im wondering if anyone can tell me where the ABS module is located? So as i can check for the obvious lose connection or faulty cabling. Any help or advice is greatly appriciated. Hey guys, The other morning i was driving and noticed my speedometer has stopped working. It stays constantly at 0mph. For a day or so it would randomly flick up to the correct speed, then shortly after drop back to 0mph. Now, it is permenantly at 0. The fuel gauge was doing the same thing, it seems to rise up to the correct level, then randomly drop etc. Its a 2001 Fabia, the 1.4MPI. Ive pulled all the fuses, replacing 1 blown one, with no effect on fixing the problem. I have also removed the dash, unplugged it, and replugged it back in, blowing any dust etc out of the cable connection. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. Kindest regards, 2012.

Hey guys, Having trouble with the heating unit on my 2001 mpi. Stripped the blower unit down and tested the motor manually, spins ok, yet when i try and turn on my heating/fresh air blower, i get nothing at all. perhaps it could be a fuse, anyone know which one or how i would go about testing? excelent, thats a brilliant collection of documents you've uploaded. I'm reading the section in the air conditioning document titled "removing and installing the fresh air blower". I take it thats what im looking for? the last part in the removal makes reference to "removing the fan motor and and fan wheel. Many thanks again for all your help 2012
