  1. Thank you all for taking the time to respond. It seems that the general concensus is to avoid these, and I will take this advice on board (getting sensible in my old age!!) It seems that the cheapest option is to put my bike in the boot, and drag my wife on her bike with a tow rope. (Not getting too sensible!!). Thanks again
  2. I have a 2014 Skoda Octavia vRS, with standard boot mounted spoiler. I want to fit a 2 bike hatch mounted carrier, but I am being told that I need to fit a towbar mounted rack, as any other rack will foul the spoiler. Advice please!!
  3. Gilesk, Your symptoms are exactly the same as my 2.0 TDI DSG (See unsmooth Skoda). Let me know if your re-mapping does any good. I am awaiting the Skoda warranty being posted, then I'm back to the dealers. Bob
  4. Usually when decelerating slowly. I have watched the gear change on the dash and it doesn't always seem to be when its changing down. I have to vary the pressure on the brake pedal to try and keep it smooth.
  5. Got myself a 2006 Octavia TDI Sport with DSG, lovely car but seems to be less than smooth when decelerating from about 20 mph to a halt. Any thoughts? Bob
  6. After worshipping at the church of Mercedes Benz for 8 years I have just converted to Skodaism and am a very happy convert. Got myself a 2006 Octavia 2.0 TDI Sport with DSG. Should have done it years ago. Bob:)
