  1. Hi, I have been thinking of doing an alteration to the air box but was thinking of drilling a 3 to 4 inch diameter hole rather than lots of small holes, as some people have done, and installing a cold feed pipe to the front of the car thereby creating a positive air pressure in the air box and wondered what you think about the idea and do you know if there are reasons not to do it. I have already had the car (2003 Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.9Tdi with 50,000 miles ) remapped (By Paramount performance) and thought the extra air supply would enhance the remapping Any and all ideas and comments would be really welcome please, whether positive or negative, I have thick skin All the best Graham
  2. Hi again Paul, I paid £350 all inclusive of vat etc. You might be able to haggle it down a few quid but it's still well worth the money. In my case, the car is now a pleasure to drive. All the best Graham
  3. Hi, I have the 1.9Tdi fabia elegance estate and went to paramount performance as their remaps had been on 'top gear'. My engine went from 110.9 to 131bhp and that was for the 'more fuel efficiency' running. Although I get more miles to the gallon (Diesel) now, I have noted a massive increase in perfomance too, especially in the mid to top of the rev range. Motorway running is smashing. I am in the process of having either a green cotton air filter or a full K&N induction kit fitted for an extra 10bhp (About 10) and based on everything I have read over the last couple of weeks think I will settle for the replacement green cotton filter. All in all, the remap is well worth the money for the gains you will benefit from. I hope this helps and good luck with whichever path you go down. All the best Graham (West Yorkshire)
  4. Hi everyone, I am new to the forum so please forgive my ignorance. I have a fabia elegance estate 2003 model with a 1.9Tdi running at 100bhp. I saw a message about looking to see what the intervals are for servicing. Can you tell me how the program can be accessed and changed via the dashboard please, many Thanks Graham PS, can someone point me i the direction of any information on using cooking oil or bio fuel in my engine please. I have searched but found nothing.
