I have a problem with the central locking on my 1998 Octavia 1.8 SLXi. Please accept my apologies if this kind of problem has already been posted! I have had a look but i cannot find the same problem. It goes like this: 1. If i unlock the car from the drivers door using the key (not key fob remote) it unlocks all the doors bar the front passenger door. Once inside if i press the lock/unlock button on the driver door it locks and unlocks them all. 2. If i unlock it from the passenger side front door it unlocks them all. Once inside if i press the button it locks all doors bar the passenger door. Does anyone know what is causing this? Any help would be much appreciated.

I have read somewhere that the rear seats from a Passat B5 estate need modification to the mountings to fit in a Passat B5.5 estate. I know it's not a Skoda, but they are similar and just goes to show that seats will not 'drop straight in' even in virtually the same car!

Will the front and rear seats from an Octavia hatchback fit in my Octavia estate? It,s a 1998 model if that helps? Also are there any other models from the VAG group that would fit with minimum fuss!? e.g Audi A4, Golf etc etc

I saw a Lupo the other day that had a set of Audi 80/100 flat wheeltrims on. My question is will they fit over my Octavia's 15" alloys which are in an absolute state! I have had a look on ebay and there are plenty on offer all 15" which is the same as my car. I thought it would be a cheap way of updating my wheels.
