  2. Hello. I was hoping somebody on here could explain to me the difference between engine oil and gearbox oil ? Why can you not just put engine oil in a gearbox ? Thanks

  4. Would a 2005 1.9 Tdi be ok to run on Bio Diesel ?
  5. Just wanted to post an update on my clutch judder as maybe could be useful to other people. Recently had my alternator pulley and belt tensioner replaced as it went and was making a horrible noise when steering and since then my clutch has been perfect, no intermitant juddering at all. Can this be right ? thanks
  6. Does anyone know if a parking sensor with a part number of 3C0 919 275 L will work in the superb ? thanks
  7. thanks, If i continue to drive the car with the squealing belt will it affect how the car drives as I'm not sure if it is just me but pulling away seems to be a bit funny now ?
  8. I need some assistance please. When idle or steering at low speeds I am getting a squeal and horrible noise coming from the alternator belt area. The steering also judders a bit when I hear the noise. If i look down into the engine bay at the front, the belt that goes around the alternator pulley down around the power steering pump and around another tensioner appears to be very slack and jumps around a bit. I have been told that the tensioner is at fault as it is a self adjusting tensioner and has no self adjustment left, is this correct ? Is this easy to change ? Is the alternator pulley tensioner with the clutch system in it a different part, the bit that is on the end of the alternator ? I have tried to turn the internal fan blades of the alternator with a screwdriver but can't seem to make them move so not sure if I am not pushing them hard enough ? Any help greatly appreciated. thanks
  9. Can anyone provide me with a part number for a rear sensor for the superb ?
  10. I will take a picture of the underneath tomorrow as there is defo a cover under mine, is that not normal ?
  11. My drivers side corner sensor appears to be faulty and have had a quick look under the bumper but I can't see how I get to the sensor as there is some kind of plastic covering between the bumper and the underneath of the car, does this need to be removed ? Has anyone got a step by step guide for getting a parking sensor out ? thanks
  12. Does anybody know the make fitted to new superb's ? thanks
  13. Does anybody happen to know what make of clutch and flywheel is fitted to a superb 1.9tdi straight from the factory ? thanks

  16. but mine still does it when the car is warmed up!! ?
  17. So i should try pulling away with revs at about 2000rpm then ? Why does this avoid the vibration.
  18. Is it me or is it impossible to pull away quickly with a DMF or is the vibration supposed to be there ? Pull away normally and its fine ?
  19. anyone ? I have tried to pop one of the sensors out but it doesn't want to come out. Should i be going in from behind the bumper ? Is it possible to get to the sensors without having to take the bumper off, if not is there a guide anywhere for taking the bumper off ? any help appreciated thanks
  20. Has anyone heard of the two systems i have listed, any thoughts on them ? Would anyone happen to have a part number to hand for a rear parking sensor ?
  21. Yeah i couldn't believe the price either when they told me. I plan on taking the sensors out tomorrow to see if i can narrow down which sensors are working and which ones are not. Also going to phone a skoda dealer in the morning and check those part numbers from the links above as if they are the same that could save me a packet I also thought about using one of these systems to replace the standard fit system if things started to get expensive, what do you think ? Parking Sensors - Trading Direct Dolphin or AVRS1A Parking Sensors .co.uk - AVRS1A Parking Distance Sensors to Aid Reversing and Parallel Parking thanks for your help everyone
  22. oh yes they are lol. Price from dealer for one parking sensor is £77.09 +vat. Please can someone advise me where i can get them cheaper ? thanks
