  1. Yep, out of the blue. 😂 Do they read this forum? I deliberately kept the details vague, I wouldn’t want to upset them...yet. I think they may not have ordered my car on the 10th Oct for whatever reason.
  2. Do they read this forum 😂 at long last I got a phone call with a build week and an order number.....middle of January is the projected arrival date, give or take!
  3. Thanks for that Simon and the super swift reply😀
  4. What is the cutout for just underneath the headlight on the right of the turning light. It is absent on some Koraqs with no cut out present. I can only guess it’s for a light of some sort?
  5. Hi, after looking at all the great photos and the good reviews of the Karoq on here I have finally “pulled the trigger” and ordered a Karoq 1.5 sel dsg in business grey. Actually I placed the order on the 10th October, but, despite phoning the dealer and even popping in, I am no further forward. No order number or anything like it, is this usual? It’s been some years since I bought a new car so go easy if I’m expecting something that may not happen!
  6. Lapsed member (changed cars) coming back to the fold. Just saying hi to everyone 😀
  7. Hi, I'm having a problem with my alarm on my 2001 fabia 1.4 16v elegance. It has started going off every time I lock my car, it starts about 30 seconds after I leave the car. I thought at first it may be a voltage drop so I put the battery on charge overnight....it didn't make any difference. There are no codes showing on my code reader. Bizarrely if I leave a door open and lock and set the alarm it doesn't go off. I've tried it with all three doors and the boot, the drivers door though HAS to be shut to activate the lock/alarm!. Can anyone guide me to a solution for this? If left to its own devices what is the pattern of my alarm? does it stop after a while or keep sounding at regular intervals? Can I disable the siren somehow and still lock the car? I've tried different key presses with the key in the lock and although the flashing light on the door thingy stays off the damn alarm still sounds
  8. Well, haynes manual doesn't show the workings of the windows so, does anyone have any pics that I could have a look at? just to see what I'm gonna be looking for before I take the door card off
  9. Ok can anyone throw any light on the window problem. The motor is definitely turning away when the switches are pressed but the window just shifts slightly. Anyone had the same problem? if so how did you fix it or, if you had it fixed, how much did it cost? many thanks
  10. Hi all, I have a problem with my rear n/s electric window on my Fabia Y reg Elegance. I went to my car yesterday and the rear n/s window was slightly open, being in a rush I pushed it up with my hand, drove away and tested the switch whilst driving. Now, although the motor whirs away the window only goes up and down slightly (about 1/4 inch). I tested with a code reader and got the following:- 01135 - 164 sporadic open circuit Would this be my problem? or is it completely unrelated? Hope someone can help.
  11. I've just noticed a small puddle on the floor of my garage :( and on investigation it looks like its coming from the temperature sensor connection to the radiator. I've noticed that I was losing water but it was only like half a cup full but this morning the header tank was noticeably low. I've booked it in to the local Skoda stealers for next Tuesday.....
  12. good advice ric04vrs thanks....always good to have another persons input! I garage it at work and at home so I will just pull the fuse whenever I'm at either place. I did start it up when the fuse was pulled and everything seemed ok, no warning lights or anything. I'll book it in to the stealers tomorrow now that I have a better idea of the problem:thumbup: L8r, Paul
  13. Ok then guys, Just been out with lad and multi meter been thru fuses until we came to :- number 43 central control unit, selector lever lock for automatic gearbox removed this fuse and the problem disappears put it back again and its drawing as much as the headlights when they are on! Now I haven't got an automatic gearbox so what happens if I drive with this fuse out? obviously its there for a reason but is it safe to drive until I can get the car to the stealers. which will prolly be next week sometime ta Paul
  14. Cheers for that ric04vrs, my son has a multimeter but is still asleep (heavy night last night....some concert in London he went to . I've got the damn thing on charge at the mo ready for tonight, but I'll try and pursuade him to have a look at it tomorrow... Thanks
