Hi all wondering if anyone could answer this for me, I just took my wifes Bolero radio out and replaced it with a Columbus, we left a cd in it. So not wanting to remove the Columbus. I tried to power the Bolero up on the bench, when I put power the unit goes through the changer but at the end of that it will not let you turn it on. There seems to be no connection for IGN SW (I think it gets the on signal from the can bus?). But I have seen picture of people selling these on EBay and they have it powered up on the bench. Any help will be greatly apprieciated. Thanks Jason

Driving down motorway today used the screen washers, The headlights cleaned first then the screen. About 5 seconds later screen wash is flooding from under the glove box on to the passenger floor mat. The liquid was still foamy and stunk of screen wash. When i stopped the car and inspected. The underside of the glove box is wet the mat is wet everthing else is dry. Has anybody had this problem before. Thanks.

We all know about the elegance losing the power folding mirrors. The elegance estate looks like it is set to lose the variable boot space. Just been on Skoda UK website and noticed that the PDF brochure for the Octavia (still showing power folding mirrors on elegance trim level). Has the SE spec trim showing as the radio to be the Bolero. If you now go on the Standard and optional features on the website the radio is showing as the 'Swing' this is the radio that is standard on the S level trim. Just a heads up in case any one has ordered an SE spec. vehicle and it arrives with the wrong radio.

Electric folding mirrors on Elegance?
spitty replied to GroundHog's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Sorry missed that bit I was on about the estate, the brochure shows it standard on the estate but the web sit shows it as a £140 option and not standard. -
Electric folding mirrors on Elegance?
spitty replied to GroundHog's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Just doing a little research on the Skoda website, the PDF brochure still shows the Electric folding mirrors as standard equipment. But on the web site the standard and optional equipment no longer shows them as standard. Checking everything else I have noticed that the PDF brochure shows varible boot floor as standard but on the web site it is a £140 extra and no mention in the standard equipment. So has this gone as well. I pick mine up on Monday and I am already P1$$d that the mirrors are gone so if the variable boot has gone as well then the car is going to be rejected. What a con. They may as well put anything they want in the brochure to get you to buy the car then supply whatever they want without notice
