fabia1400

Can anyone shed light on how much i'm looking at to replace an ABS pump on a Fabia 1400 AUB engine?The fault can't be shifted but am looking to get a second opinion from a skoda dealer. Any ideas or advice please:thumbup:

Well i got offered £500 for an X plate fabia 1400 today so i guess i'll be fixing it and keeping it after all!!:eek:

I'm going to part ex it in a garage as i can't be doing with paying out to get it fixed before trading in.Let the stealers deal with it....

Any ideas on how i can turn off the ABS and traction control light which has appeared on my dash?It's been code read and it says the pump is at fault,and the fault was cleared and came back on!Want to get shot of the car and wondered if the pump could be disconnected to make the light go out?All the fuses are ok and not blown,including the ones on the top of the battery. Any ideas please:D

Hi, I have a Fabia 1400 16v comfort.Paid 2k on an X plate one lady owner from new with 70k on the clock. Angle sensors can go,leaking back doors,suspension bushes,window regulators I've owned mine 2 weeks and the ABS pump has packed up already!Not a happy chap.It needs to be revved hard to get it to go and it's not the most economical car i've owned either. Nice comfortable car and solid.But make sure it's been serviced regular.

The missus was driving my Fabia yesterday and the abs and traction control light came on.Car was in for a service today and the mechanic cleared the lights off the dash,a quick drive down the road and both came back on.He said it could possibly be the ABS pump.The car is an 2000 X plate,with engine code AUB.Any ideas on this matter and am i looking at a mega huge bill for a new ABS pump? Only had the car 2 weeks!:eek:

Hi, You've probably already read a post like this before but i eed to know how to remove the centre vents of the heater so i can get behind the dash to stop a rattle!! Any ideas?

Well the Fabia i 've bought has had a new power steering motor,and all it needed was a an Angle sensor!Temp guage is fluctuating a bit.Dash rattles from the centre heater vent,any ideas on how to get this out and stop the rattle? Petrol consumption not great for a small engine either. Service due at the weekend and a cambelt which is 10,000 miles overdue!

Hi, Have just gotten my first skoda,it's a 1.4 fabia comfort 16valve 1 lady owner from new,F.S.H,just had an angle sensor or something along those lines replaced? Are there any common problems with the fabia that i need to be aware of? It seems a very well built car and alot better than my previous MK4 golf gt tdi! Also when does the cambelt need changing??is it 60k? Any help would be appreciated:thumbup:

Have just taken ownership of a 2000 'X' plate fabia 1400.It's covered 69k and am wondering whether the cambelt should be done as it hasn't been changed at 60k.Is 60k the right interval??Also should i change the tensioners and pulleys when doing the belt??

Hey guys, Just got my first skoda yesterday and am well impressed.Having had mainly VW golf's and having lots of trouble with them i thought a change was in order. If any of you have any advice about the fabia 1400 16 valve engine i'd be interested to hear it.
