  1. The time is nigh for me to leave this forum having decided to emmigrate to the good ole' USA. I'm very happy about that! England is a sh** hole filled with selfish, ignorant, penny pinching and uncommunicative people. For the record I was born in England but over the years have become more and more disillusioned with the culture and the people of this country. Here's a few examples of why English people are penny pinching S.O.Bs I visited the post office recently with the intention of posting out a parcel. I unfortunately was queued up behind a pensioner who was brandishing a single paltry looking letter. When he got to the counter he asked the post office staff how much a 1st stamp costs. He then purchased one 1st class stamp and asked her if she thought it would get to its destination next day. Just goes to show how tight fisted and ignorant this old ****** was. I personally have always bought books of 1st and 2nd class stamps so that I do not have to waste my time going to the post office to just purchase 1 stamp. Funny to think that i've been doing that since I was about 18 years old yet here we have some silly old git queuing up to buy a single stamp. While at work a woman I spoke to told me that she and her husband had planned to travel to Broadstairs in Kent. However when these idiots got there they discovered to their horror that the car park was charging £4, so do you want to know what these great examples of British penny pinching did? They changed their minds, and drove to the less desirable Ramsgate because apparently car parking was free. I questioned her about the logic of this given that Ramsgate is a couple of miles away, and they'd have used a bit of fuel and time to get there. This is unfortunately the atypical British person's attitude which shows how cheap they really are. Another good example which beggers belief but truly underscores how pathetic British people are occurred a few days ago. I visited the typical British high street which is full of the usual shops: barbers, florists, estate agents, betting shops, charities etc. Of course there was no parking on the high street so had to park in a pay and display. I was only going to be there for about 15 minutes but paid in cash for 1 hr which is £1.10.No problem for me and unlike many other English people I don't loose any sleep over that. Just as I was getting out of my car I noticed two sets of families who had arrived in 2 cars. While I was exiting the car park by foot, I heard them discussing how expensive the car park was and that they could save money by downloading the car parking app and paying via credit card. About 10 minutes later, I returned back to my car, and found they were all still faffing around with the app trying to get it to work. They were so determined to save 10p by using the app that they seemed to forget the fact that they'd been standing there in the cold for about 10 minutes in order to achieve this. The mind boggles as to the logic of these British people. It is also common knowledge that people from the UK very rarely review products on Amazon in particular books. I recently spoke to a group of professional book bloggers and reviewers from Chicago, IL and they told me that whenever they run book campaigns for their customers they usually avoid the UK because there's very few who will actually review books I put this down to typical British lazyness and because they are ungrateful even when they receive something for free. I've read many book reviews from British people who will say things like "It was a good book because it was free". British people certainly know which side their bread is buttered don't they? lol. lazy bastar** England has no cuisine of its own apart from fish and chips England is greatly behind many other countries and would have fallen further behind if it had not been brought kicking and screaming into the EEC. It was not that long ago that England were still using Lead and asbestos. England have one of the worst legal systems in the world. Jurors are selected at random in England and Wales which can lead to the wrong types of people being selected. In British terms this is a bad thing as most are uneducated blue collar types. In America jury selection is done by the defense and prosecution who will agree on their unbiasedness and will vet the candidates beforehand in order to ensure they are mutually suitable. Barristers wear wigs in England which gives them an air of pompousness. Wigs went out of fashion by the 1800s and were originally used by British lordling bastar** who wanted to cover up their hair loss from syphallis and head lice. Majority of British people are football hooligans and can't speak properly. This unfortunately has been pervasive since the Victorian era and even prior to the influx of Russian Jews. Many Londoners would pronouce the word "He" as "e" I originally used to think Americans were stupid because this is usually what British people are taught to think and are often reminded about their inability to understand irony. Well this is pure propaganda and clearly demonstrates an inferiority complex on the part of the British. I listen to a lot of historical podcasts and have found that 90% of them were created by Americans and very well presented and intelligent. I would highly recommend Futility Closet and History Unplugged. Where are all you mighty British podcast enthusiasts. You're all just a bunch of "johnnies" (to coin an old phrase) from the Victorian era. I'm leaving now to enjoy myself in a country which is about 40 times bigger than England and is not so densely populated. When I decide to go on vacation, I will probably visit Canada (which by the way is also about 40 times bigger than England) or the lone star state of Texas (which by the way is bigger than England) You idiots probably don't even know why they call Texas the lone star state? Well let me educate you a little. It goes back to the Mexican wars and the Alamo which occured during the 1830s-1840s. Ever heard of the 49ers of California? They are called this because gold was discovered in California in 1849. England is a pathetic little country with no culture and is driven by pensioners and blue collar morons.
  2. Unlikely that will last 20k instead of wasting time taking pictures of it and posting it here why don't you get it done properly
  3. I've owned my vRS mk1 for the last 10 years and now feel it maybe time for a change. I've looked long and hard at various options aiming for a similar size car which is both fairly quick and economical and a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing but so far haven't found much. It seems as if manufacturers have gotten very silly in the last few years and started making big cars. Even the smaller economical ones tend to be a bit underpowered. What are you thoughts on buying another vRS? i located one for sale in Wales on auto trader which is up for about £5k and it is done 26,000 miles. Using carzana could see last owner bought it in may this year, did about 3k miles and now it selling it. Should i be suspicious of low mileage ones? Have also looked at the mk2 vRS but heard negative things about it including Skoda ceasing production due to engine oil consumption issues with it. What do you guys do when you've owned your mk 1 vRS for so long and want to/have to replace it with something similar? it seems theres an absolute dirth of talent out there. I have no interest in bigger vehicles like BMW 1 series, ford focus or the huge vehicles produced by Nissan or Mitsubishi. I find it ridiculous that in such a tiny country such as England with a poor road infrastructure that people actually think its clever to purchase vehicles so large.
  4. My current car is the Fabia vRS mk1. Have owned it for 9 years and done about 130k miles. In that time i've only ever had two punctures. Rewind prior to owning my vRS I had cars which had low profile tyres (204/45/17) and in the space of about 6 years had to deal with 5 punctures, one of which ended up buckling the alloy. I have read that having low profile tyres does indeed result in higher risk of punctures. would you briskodians agree with that or not? if i were to buy myself another car which ideally must be a bit quicker than my vRS mk1 but still have good economy and not have silly at risk tyres then what would you nice folkes suggest please?
  5. Hello I live in the Medway kent area and current work in Bexleyheath which takes me about 90minutes (I drive) to get to in the morning from M2/A2. main hold ups are at fossington way in Chatham and along the Gravesend A2 sections. Going back the other way in the evenings is usually not so bad. I'm currently looking for a new job but widened my search radius to include Surrey (as far as Redhill, leatherhead) and Essex(up as far as Chelmsford). I have no intention of relocating as quite settled in Medway and house prices are cheap. I'm getting frustrated by the annoyingly long drive to bexley!! what has happened to our country. I remember a time when it would take 1 hour to drive from Orpington in Kent to Enfield(London) going through the dartford crossing at around 5:30pm. And that was only 15 years ago. I don't really want to look further afield in Surrey/Essex for jobs but needs must. There's not enough jobs in Kent in my line of work. Would like to hear from people who drive around these areas, what they think of the traffic etc (M25 surrey/essex)? what time is best to leave?
  6. Well this proves beyond a doubt that people on briskoda really are nice and diplomatic! despite me trying to rile you guys up, you did not rise to it. I doff my cap to you all. You have restored my faith in humanity.
  7. I would rather listen to a lawn mower than some noisy kids streaming like they are being assaulted.
  8. I'd like to see these arrogant Brits try that in some country where guns are permitted.
  9. A lot of Polish and romanian girls come to england to be escorts, which means they don't have to pay any taxes, are probably claiming benefits while charging £150 per hr. They very rarely offer the services advertised.
  10. Kids were brought up better in the 60s, 70s and early 80s. parents these days have done a volte face and become way too leniant
  11. Yes when you have kids you become selfish and think the sun shines out of your a***
  12. I am here to talk about how kids and their parents ruin things for everyone else. Not content with them having a monopoly on the months July to September, it seems there's still a lot of straglers intent on carrying on their "summers" even mid way into September. last week I went on a nature walk with about 15 other people. Joining us was a member of national trust. Unfortunately for me and the wife, the walk was ruined by about 3-4 unruly loud children and there "lack of responsiblity" parents. These ******s are probably claiming benefits also or are "self employed" Where we live, a family have moved into our road, bringing with them their nasty little tykes. Every damn evening they are on the trapoline, screaming away until 7pm. In my day (i'm 37), we were never allowed to do that. Seems to me parents these days have no idea on how to raise their kids and their arrogance/ignorance and disregard for other people seem to be rubbing off on their children. Perhaps they think its not their responsibility and their schools should do it for them? parents like this need to be shot. I'm curious how many of you have kids and are raising them properly ? rant over
  13. Does anyone have any recommendations on a high quality mobile phone holder which fits into the air vent of my Fabia vRS? without causing damage. i bought the aoodle one from amazon, which has fits into the air vent but it fell after after a few minutes of driving. I know there's a lot of suction cup ones out there but if they are anything like the garmin ones they usually loose suction after a while and fall off. I need it to clip on permenently. An air vent one would be good as I dont really want it to be near the windscreen where it could obscure my vision. particularly since the windscreen is where my garmin currently is mounted. thanks
  14. I'm looking to get a new house soon but its in need of some work. I'm just wondering what maybe considered reasonable in getting a 3 bed house wallpapered with lounge and dining room, hall way? (labour charges?) or what it'd cost to have certain rooms painted walls? how long would it take? Also has anyone had any bathroom work done and know roundabout what it'd cost to have a new wash basis, toilet, shower cubicle fitted, flooring, tiling? All the old stuff would need to be removed including the bathtub. never done this before so if anyones got any useful pointers as to what to expect that would be informatively helpful thanks
  15. Sorry I ment to say my static route is S 172.16.30.0 [1/0] via 192.168.12.1 O IA 172.16.20.0 [110/3] via 192.168.12.1, 00:01:50, FastEthernet0/0 O IA 172.16.10.0 [110/3] via 192.168.12.1, 00:01:50, FastEthernet0/0 *Mar 1 01:03:19.699: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console 24.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 24.24.24.0 is directly connected, Serial2/0 192.168.23.0/30 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 192.168.23.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet1/0 S* 0.0.0.0/0 is directly connected, Null0 R2#traceroute 172.16.30.1 Type escape sequence to abort. I don't want to use static routes as they take up resources. I also have to examine the source traffic when it comes from 172.16.30.0/29 when passing through R3. R3 will need to make the correct routing decision to send it to R1 instead of R2. Here is R3's table R3#show ip route ospf 192.168.12.0/30 is subnetted, 1 subnets O 192.168.12.0 [110/2] via 192.168.23.1, 00:04:44, FastEthernet0/0 [110/2] via 192.168.13.1, 00:04:44, FastEthernet1/0 O*E2 0.0.0.0/0 [110/1] via 192.168.23.1, 00:04:44, FastEthernet0/0 I hope this makes sense. It is a bit confusing.
  16. Hi A static route won't do it because R3 needs to be able to discern traffic from 172.16.30.0/29 and route accordingly.Similarly traffic destined for 172.16.30.0/29 from R2 must flow going from R2>R1>R3. R2#SHOW IP ROUTE Codes: C - connected, S - static, R - RIP, M - mobile, B - BGP D - EIGRP, EX - EIGRP external, O - OSPF, IA - OSPF inter area N1 - OSPF NSSA external type 1, N2 - OSPF NSSA external type 2 E1 - OSPF external type 1, E2 - OSPF external type 2 i - IS-IS, su - IS-IS summary, L1 - IS-IS level-1, L2 - IS-IS level-2 ia - IS-IS inter area, * - candidate default, U - per-user static route o - ODR, P - periodic downloaded static route Gateway of last resort is 0.0.0.0 to network 0.0.0.0 192.168.12.0/30 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 192.168.12.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/0 192.168.13.0/30 is subnetted, 1 subnets O 192.168.13.0 [110/2] via 192.168.23.2, 00:17:02, FastEthernet1/0 [110/2] via 192.168.12.1, 00:17:02, FastEthernet0/0 172.16.0.0/16 is variably subnetted, 4 subnets, 2 masks O IA 172.16.30.0/29 [110/2] via 192.168.23.2, 00:17:02, FastEthernet1/0 O IA 172.16.20.0/29 [110/2] via 192.168.23.2, 00:17:04, FastEthernet1/0 O IA 172.16.10.0/29 [110/2] via 192.168.23.2, 00:17:04, FastEthernet1/0 S 172.16.10.0/24 [1/0] via 192.168.12.1 24.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 24.24.24.0 is directly connected, Serial2/0 192.168.23.0/30 is subnetted, 1 subnets C 192.168.23.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet1/0 S* 0.0.0.0/0 is directly connected, Null0 As you can see I put a 172.16.30.0/29 static route in which points to 192.168.12.1. However this path is ignored due to the longest match rule. I have since removed the 172.16.30.0/29 static route. I need to somehow create a rule On R3 which examines traffic from 172.16.30.0/29 AND ROUTES it via R1 and then onto R2.As these are faster links and my 172.16.30.0/29 is a lot busier similarly I need to ensure that traffic destined for 172.16.30.0/29 which passes through R2 uses the faster 1Gb links.
  17. mediafire.com/?f34... Just want to clarify that at moment everything is taking the shortest path via R2 although its not taking into account the Gig links.
  18. Would a Virtual OS help? such as Oracle virtual box. I dont know it it would allow you to install the printer. But on one of my PCs I am running a Native Win 7 and have XP pro as a guest OS. Maybe someone more technical can shed light on whether it is possible to install printer drivers into a guest OS using oracle virtual box or VMWare. Your netbook would have to have a fairly beefy spec though if it was possible.
  19. This ones for all those routing experts out there. I am trying to alter the connection a route will take based on certain IP address.I have a few Cisco routers. I maybe able to post up the topology diagram. If anyone thinks they can help?
  20. I already have the user's IP address and ISP. I'm dealing with this in my own way.
  21. Depending on what you want to do with the network between two buildings and how much traffic you're sending down it, would you consider a Frame relay connection? I have one such connection between my office and another. It's cheap but reliable and all you need to a leased line, decent router supporting Frame. I get a CIR of 44Mb (this is network speed not internet) but frequently burst above. Distance between me and the other office is 2 miles. Very easy to configure. You will be assigned a DLCI value which you configure on your router and then you map it to the remote IP address. You can use either IPv4 or Ipv6 is your router supports it. You can also run PPP over Frame which means the connection can be authentication using either CHAP (3 way Hash) or PAP (2 way plain text) I'm not knocking wireless but just saying theres another option depending on bandwidth intensive you want to go and there's QoS considerations if you require that too. Wireless range has limitations which are quoted as 150-300ft on 802.11n access points but if you get a P2P aerial you might be able to go a range in x miles although as I said before you got to keep the connectors as close to the same impedence rating in Ohms as possible otherwise you end up with problems. Also another thing I want to mention is, is that wireless is half duplex right (meaning 130Mb is actually going to be 65Mb or less) and contention based meaning it uses CSMA/CA. You could end up with collisions and hidden node problems if say your external environment changes. Had a friend of mine have this issue where a swinging crane between him and the remote location caused issues. If you go the wireless route, when you connect the ethernet cable from your PC to wireless AP, use a min CAT5e (supports 1Gb/ps) and get a shielded one plenum rated ideally if it's running through various parts of your house.
  22. It would seem a certain person on this forum, didn't take too kindly to my comments and decided to email me directly on Friday. I can only assume he got my email address from another member. If that is the case I would appreciate this member let me know who it was? I won't go into too much detail regarding the exact wording of his email, but suffice to say it contained several xenophobic comments and expletives.Very sad really that he has to lower himself to that level because he's scared of Islam. It's been clearly sent from a new email address he created for the purpose. I know the ISP address range and will pass it on to them. In any case no amount of theatening me is going to make me change my mind over the fact that our government lied to us and the real intentions for going into Iraq and Afghanistan were oil and these fictional Weapons of Mass destruction. We continue selling weapons the the Saudis and they continue to rule their people tyrannically. I know this is off topic but what happened in Woolwich is just a symptom of a much bigger problem.
  23. softscoop is right about that but if its a DIY aerial or any aerial make sure you match up any connectors properly otherwise you might get impedence mismatch which would result in something similar to back pressure loss. Also be aware that although it may appear that you have a clear line of sight you might need to raise the aerials sufficiently if there's not a proper RF line of sight such as fresnel zone incursions which need to be less than 40%
  24. I need some help advice with this one too from any Cisco command line experts. We need to connect up our router to another network and they are running OSPF.Their routers exist in the backbone area but connected to this area is area 15 which we have access to via ssh.If we connect our ospf router to theirs then we will not have connectivity to the backbone because of discontiguous areas.I need to tunnel through area 15 to reach the backbone. Unfortunately due to their layout or policies we can't plug directly into their backbone. I'm not sure what the best way to do this is? advice appreciated.
