1.4 16v petrol. It's hidden underneath the throttle body, surrounded by coolant pipes!

My sister's Fabia I has just failed it's MOT for emissions, check light is on and VAG-com reads EGR valve insufficient flow. Is there a guide somewhere to cleaning it out, as it's a tight bitch of a place to get to! Thanks in advance.

In most of the Octavia I's I have here, there's a taxi radio right under the stereo (in the cubby). Someone dropped their mobile down the side of it the other day, and fused the ignition supply to the stereo while they were trying to fish it out. So now there's no ignition feed to the stereo, and none of the fuses are blown (at least not in the fusebox on the end of the dash). Does anyone have any ideas or is there maybe another set of fuses I'm not aware of?

For future reference, turn the ignition on before turning the stereo on and it reads the code from the car.
