Well it had 2 new abs units replaced both times leaving me stranded and it was in the garage for over a week each time. It had am intermittent power loss problem and rough idle problems. The latter 2 were apparently sorted with a software update. Hats off to Skoda dealer they were great really helpful and friendly. Just put me off it a little bit and with me needing the economy and I got discount at Citroën through work so that twisted my arm. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Hi all, I've traded in my Vrs after just over a year. It's been a great little car but unfortunately due to the fact that it wasn't the most reliable and also due to the fact that I shall now be doing in excess of 20k miles a year I had to swap to a diesel. Well got the car back, glad it's under warranty cos I didn't fancy the £1800 bill!

Well just had a call from Skoda to say that it's a faulty ABS control unit so hopefully it'll be ready tomorrow.

I use the ipod connection mdi on my vrs, the USB one doesn't work with my ipod only a hard drive/memory stick. Hope that helps

Yeah the rac bloke said the same, he read the codes to which there was 25 of and just left em on there. Skoda got a local company to tow it to garage, only took em 30 mins to arrive as well which I didn't think was bad. That's the thing I thought strange about the gear box I thought it went into emergency mode too but it just wouldn't budge out of 7th gear. I'll await to hear from the dealer tomorrow as I'm sure they're far to busy today lol

I'm hoping it could be something like that the rac bloke couldn't connect to the abs control unit so he suggested it might be that that's at fault. He did test the battery and it was showing the correct voltages so not sure.

Hi, just had to be towed to the dealer as the car just threw a wobbler. Just about every fault light on the dash, no speedo or fuel gauge no power steering and no gears, the gearbox locked itself in 7th and wouldn't budge so go knows what's wrong with it. Got a nice basic 1.2tsi fabia dsg courtesy of Skoda assist.

I mite just get mine refurbished as silver then I just don't like the whole black look. Cheers :-)

Ah yeah they are the ones I'm after. Well mine aren't perfect hence y I was gonna refurbish them anyway. Well I'll keep an ear out for anyone wanting a swap :-) Cheers

Just wondering if it would be possible to have my black wheels refurbished to look like the chrome/black wheels as I prefer these. I'm basically asking if the wheels are the same and just finished differently. Cheers, James

Yeah it drives fine, I'm only half hour away from the tunnels in Brum so mite have a ride over before they shut for summer.
