Hi Guys, Just a quick Goodbye from me... hoping to get a call today to say I'm a new owner of a Mk5 Golf R32... After buying the vRS for a 'family' car, following years of BMW ownership(328i Sport, 330 Clubsport, E46 M3) the vRS has never lived up to my expectations, and nor have the local dealers(Westover - grrr)... Glad I didn't go ahead with all the modification plans... as that would have been even more costly... but will remove my chrome indicator bulbs and Colour Coded Diamond Silver grill surround before trading in for the new car. Anyway, thanks to everyone that has helps with my queries... Byeeee Dom

Feel your pain mate as I hit a deer last week! I take it his insurance will be coughing up? It'll soon be fixed...

It's been properly done, chrome taken back, sprayed laquer and baked on so hopefully it'll last ok... Thanks for all the comments guys...

Decided to go with colour coded. Really grown on me, looks sportier and possibly better in flesh.. well happy... Thought I'd show you all... Cheers, Dom

I saw that grill on ebay, was the hairline crack bad at all...?

I found mine was cured when i used autoglym rubber and vinyl on the interior... seems much better...

The chrome is easy enough it just unclips... not trying the bleach trick it will be roughen and etch primed...

Prefer pink m' friend... Think i'll go colour coded as i'm having the new bonnet sprayed... Cheers everyone...

What colour grill surround should i do... 1) Colour coded... 2) Satin black... like the Audis black optics pack... 3) Dark anthracite? Anyone done this on a silver car? Cheers Dom

That's what I looked at but didn't mention the surround? Just mentions main grille and the part number given I believe is just for the slats... Not to worry I ask at the parts desk as Jonno vRS kindly suggested... I need all parts as it got smashed up when i hit a deer friday night...

Apologies for resurrecting this thread... After a new grille for my VRS which I'll either be get colour coded or done satin black... this is when I have my new bonnet sprayed... Anyway, I need part number confirming as some of the threads seem confusing... Is there a part number for the whole vrs grille? Or do I have to get the surround(1Z0.853.661.739- I believe?), the slats (1Z0.853.668.B41 - I believe?) and the vRS badge( 1Z0.853.679.LAQ - I believe?) all seperately?? Cheers, Dom
