Hi I have a Haynes manual for the Octavia Mk1 To be honest the wiring diagrams are poor compared to previous manuals that I have had and certainly so when compared to the genuine diagrams - the one's in the Haynes manual are all labeled 'Typical' so all you get is a general diagram of each vehicle system - I can scan a sample for you if you would like to see an example. To be honest I was very disapointed with the manual - I have made enquiries with a number of contacts I have but they all say there is not much else available except for the genuine Skoda ones. Sorry it's not much help - if there is a particular subsystem you need a wiring diagram for I might be able to source the odd diagram - it depends what you need Cheers Bob

Thanks for the warm welcome Perhaps my mileage at 203K is not mega compared with 380K but it is compared with the 78K ford I traded in for it - silly I know but I hated that ford.

Hi Folks Just a quick note to say Hi to everyone and introduce myself I registered on Briskoda a few months ago and was blown away by the amount of information and help available - it's fantastic This is my first ever post so I hope you will forgive any etiquet errors I have been into the VAG range of vehicles for as long as I can remember - starting with a 1963 VW Beetle way back in 1981 - but my current car is my first Skoda It's an Octavia Classic 1.9 diesel with mega miles on it But I love it and I hope it'll be economical to run I do all my own maintenance - having spent 6 years at Tech studying Automotive engineering I don't really have an excuse not to. All of my previous vehicles have had very limited on-board electronics so the Octavia will be a new experience for me. I have already picked up several tips from the forum and I'm very interested in the VAGCOM system - as far as I can tell it looks like a must have tool. Anyway - I hope that's not too long and I look forward to contributing to the Briskoda community Bob
