When is my air con on or off ECON mode?
coggie replied to barry_vrs's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
When i put mine on you can hear some fans kick in. It sounds like a very minor scraping noise. Is this normal? It doesn't seem to be that cold so im going to get it re gassed soon i think. -
Sounds good to me. Will it work with my current auto changer? Will i need some sort of code or will it just fit straight in? Im definately interested so pm me a price and we'll go from there. Thanks a lot.

Its a 51 plate octavia 4x4 estate. Not sure what the model number of my current cassette is but it is a genuine Skoda one. I want to change it to a cd one as its driving me nuts having to go in the boot to change a cd. I'd like to keep to a genuine skoda one. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks very much.

longitudinal acceleration transducer (code 001279)

Final result is here then for anyone else who gets the same code. I found that the local garage didn't want to do the work and told me to go to Skoda which i thought was strange. Anyway i decided to go to Awesome and sort it there. The part was around £100 and they charged me an hours labour to fit it so was around £150 which i was delighted with. -

Ok, thanks. the garage said they were getting the part from Skoda but didn't have a price for me. They were getting the price tomorrow amd are going to ring me up. When i know the numbers, i'll let everyone know. Looks like a couple of hundred quid atleast. -

flippin heck. The code is also G251 but im not sure why they are different. I dont want to spend £300 and it not be right. I take it that once the part has been changed, thats it? It wont be realted to anything else will it? :( -

I have the abs and the esr light on, both yellow. Its not getting done at Skoda so i hope it wont cost £300. -
Thanks very much. Just got to decide how dark to go. i dont want to look like El haj Diouf driving down the road.:insane: Just enough to keep the sunlight out.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

My octavia estate has the cd changer with the cassette. Is it possible to change the cassette to a cd and still use the cd changer? If so, what is the model number and anyone know where to get one?
