  1. This is the fuel pump, in the tank under the rear seats. Likely it is going to finish...
  2. 1.4TSI is much better than 1.9TDI .
  3. The main reason for the problem is the condition of the alternator, battery, wires and starter. The background of the problem is the fuel map, where are present zero values for the fuel. More precisely, the higher the temperature, the higher minimum revs are needed to start the fuel injection. With the time, the above mentioned components are wearing, and the engine do not reach the minimum revs needed to the injection. There are three main solutions: 1) reconditioning of all four components (the best solution at all ); 2) coding the ECU for auto box /there is much favorable fuel map for the autos/, but the engine will run on higher idle revs; 3) substituting the temperature sensor with fixed resistor while starting, just lying the ECU there is much cold engine. This solution is not easy for different engines, because the ECU could render the sensor as "broken".
  4. That's why I wrote "The traditional DMF is not applicable on DSG boxes anyway". The one used in DSG is special dual unit operating in two directions with neutral position in between.
  5. The traditional DMF is not applicable on DSG boxes anyway. There is single mass flywheel, and two separate dry or wet clutches. See the diagram:
  6. If both DSG's are 6-gear type, only difference would be the final (diff) ratio. Second possibility might be significant difference of the tyre sizes...

  11. See here - http://briskoda.net/octavia-ii/removing-b-pillar-trim/130797/ If you have air curtains, there is a screw behind the "AirBag" label. Sorry, no pics...
  12. Let your car is armed. If you disarm the car and do not open a door or the boot, the car will arm itself after 30 seconds. But if you open a door or boot, the car would not go arming itself. --- Pay special attention when using the middle button for accessing the boot! Do not leave the keys inside - when you close the boot the car will arm immediately!
  13. Yes, I had it. But was around 1900 revs. Some resonance in the front part of the exhaust system. Go to the dealer and there this have to be solved, hopefully.
  14. People, read carefully: There is no solution for this problem. And auto-levering could not help on this.
  15. I have absolutely the same problem, it comes about once a few days in average.
  16. As far as I know, Scout is equipped with TDI 2.0 8V DPF.
  17. If you do not want to use cooling function, just turn on "Econ". And if air stream is not strong enough, increase fan speed manually. Also, there are separate buttons to direct main stream to windscreen, head, foots, etc.
