  1. Hi all. Coming from a 2010 Superb 2.0 TDI elegance estate and also having recently had a Octavia VRS 2010, now a Nissan leaf for most of local stuff. Looking for a biggish boot and petrol for longer journeys. looking to spend <£18k on an Octavia and not sure about Mk3 v 4 any advice now the mK4 has been around for 2 year? Or avoid and get a MK3? Both estates really. thanks
  2. All my 2010 estate rear wiper is stuck and not working. It did go very fast and then stopped. looking at getting this and trying fit myself just wondered if a difficult job or if specialist tools are needed?https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/ridex-15210402.html Thanks
  3. I have a a 2010 Superb 2.0 TDI DSG elegance estate. 2 smaller kids and wanting to spend about £16K looking at petrol DSG 1.4/1.5 TSI and can see a few 67/2017 SE L superb similar money for 19/2019 SE L Octavia estates. I prefer the luxury of the superb fully loaded and have also had a 2010 VRS but not sure I need the size of the superb. Any advice on similar situations for you guys if worth getting more “exec car “ and gadgets versus newer and less miles and smaller? thanks for any feedback.
  4. Thanks and these fit fine? Do you know what the bar code is? Thanks

  9. My Superb CR170 went into limp mode twice so took it to local garage who said turbo and actuator failed. Said was £900+VAT for OEM new plus ~£250 to fit. Are there cheaper options that are OK? It’s 130k miles and 8 years old. Worried it’s a write off.
  10. Thanks all for the advice. No tow bar and no plans to install one. There seems to be a lot of specific models of Thule bars. Will have a look.
  11. Hi All. What do you guys use as roof bike racks for your estate/combo with rails? Mainly it’s for a single bike, perhaps 2. Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks

  22. Yes. I undid the screws in the BT module, took the blue wire plug out, took the front trim off with a bike tire leaver. Undo the 4 torx screws around the columbus. Then took the -ve terminal off battery as read it stops CanBus errors later. Then pull out columbus, remove the green plug, slotted the green and blue wires to the obvious numbered slots as per insturctions and confirmed earlier in this thread. Then put the green plug back in. Push wires through hole in the right of the columbus space, I then feed it to the pedals (trickiest part and used iPhone light to work out the path), moved wire across to accelerator pedal and pushed under the gap by the carpet. under car mat. Then push into the clearly numbered slot of the BT adapter. reconnect the BT module. Reconnect battery, check it works with iPhone BT with columbus still out and BT adapter not screwed in. Worked fine for me with an eBay 5KO D. Screwed it all back together and put trim on. Reset clock. Drive 20m and ECU & airbag warning lights resets. My iPhone now connects automatically through BT and music or podcasts starts straight away if paused. Job done. Hope this helps. As mentioned I am no electrician and was chuffed to get stereo A2DP for £100 with wire and BT module.
  23. Well I just went the short way and then put the cable under the pedals and car mat. I can't see or feel it and I had know idea how to connect it all through the back with the other wires. The wires are plug and play. dead easy if anyone is worried with a MY10.
