  1. I did not make my self clear superchips told me they will not be offering bluefin for the cr in the near future, you have to take your car to buckingham because none of the dealers are able to remap the cr ecu at this time, as for taking my car to be the test vehicle for all cr 170 maps not a problem if the cost had been vastly reduced or free, in my experience of motorcycle tuning a company will give you free of charge a remap/new exhaust system in exchange for you letting them have use of a new model that they have not seen before to develop there products on , superchips also wanted to charge me the full bluefin amount even though i wouldnt have had one! p torque has a proven remap ready to go on the car!
  2. last time i spoke to superchips about a month ago they told me they could remap the cr but only if i took it to buckingham and had it done on the rolling road they were also under the impression it was140 bhp when i mentioned it was 170 bhp they said oh we havnt seen one of those yet but we can do it ,they wanted my car for three to four hours it wouldnt be bluefin just remapped and wanted me to pay full price ! i have since had it remapped by p torque, im very pleased with the results and it was a lot less expensive.
  3. what ever the problem its not wills map, he was unable to get figures on the standard car before modification. The ecu needs tricking into thinking the rear wheels are turning any clever people out there with a solution?
  4. had my vrs cr remapped by will at p-torque this week, fantastic ! on the matter of the rr problem your car isnt a freak JAMESYG mine did exactly the same 130 odd bhp 250 ft lb torque and climbing rapidly when the ecu reined it in ! Will said he has spoken to numerous contacts in the industry here and abroad and they have all had the same problem ? shame jcdub is over the water would be interesting to take my car onto the rr he used see if they could work some of that irish magic on mine and get some figures?
  5. sounds similar to my problem the only way to check the mount is to remove it . I was sure it was caused by something on the osf just shows how the symptoms can deceive , the defective/broken mount was on the nearside of the engine bay.
  6. again had use of autosales Bilston this week , they diagnosed a broken gearbox mount cant speak highly enough of steve on service desk and gary the service manager top men,top service.
  7. update ! autosales bilston have diagnosed the problem , one of the gearbox mounts had broken dont know if it was the result of the kerb incident but its fixed now thanks to those who offered suggestions as to the cause.
  8. Thanks maddog it sounds very similar to your problem , it does only happen during "spirited" driving fine at all other times , who was your dealer who investigated ?
  9. Thanks for reply, my only experiance of a cv joint going is a clicking noise when moving away, there is no noise or vibration until you are moving and put some left lock on ? with the car on ramp you can turn wheel with lock on and can not feel any clicking or vibration? does it still sound like a cv joint ?
  10. Hi everyone hope someone can help ? ive got an oct vrs cr saloon , few months ago i hit a kerb stupid i know , took the car to main dealer Autosales Bilston ,they replaced the offside wheel, bottom arm, hub assembly, shock absorber, had four wheel alignment check (not by someone as good as wheels in motion) which was all ok,car drives straight and true. I have recently noticed on left hand lock a vibration/rumble and noise at lowish speed ,it feels like driving on a rumble strip, at high speed its just a constant noise and vibration all seeming to come from the previously damaged side ,dealer have had it in today no visable sign of any conponents coming into contact ,dealer not a clue at moment , any ideas thanks
  11. ive had the same occurance half a dozen times , mines a vrs cr but not dsg , it seems to be accompanied with a slight increase in tick over speed around 1000rpm prior to turning off, and a lot of heat coming out of exhaust when engine is turned off. Ive put it down to the ecu managing / regenerating the dpf ?
  12. getting back to the original thread, i received an email from superchips yesterday, they have a 20% discount offer on until christmas ! i have just phoned superchips to ask if the software for the CR will be included, they dont think it will be released whilst the offer is on so in other words not this side of christmas.
  13. hi jcdub whats happening with your bluefin for the octy vrs cr ? must be a month now have you had any contact with superchips?
