  1. Okay, cheers. I'll try giving the reset ago when I get round to looking at the manual. You can change the volume of the sat nav voice independantly from the music volume. You simply turn the volume dial while the sat nav gives out an instruction.
  2. Hi guys The other day I turned down the volume on the car stereo while listening to music (on the microSD card) on my PID. An odd thing seems to have happened. The PID is acting as an additional speaker - all the time. This has only just happened. Now I know if I disconnect the PID it does have it's own speaker and it will continue to play music itself. However, normally it doesn't do this once docked. It's volume stays fixed so if you turn stereo down the PID is louder than the car speakers... and sounds terrible. The volume button on the PID is disabled once docked. If you disconnect it, it becomes available and I can turn it rught down or mute it. Once docked, it goes right back to how it was. Anyone got a clue how to sort this so the PID doesn't ruin my music listening pleasure?! Halp! I have a long drive ahead of me. :(
  3. Here's some pictures of my Spring Green & Ivory Elegance, with the Summer Pack. See more over at my bro's flickr account.
  4. Hi guys I finally picked up my Citigo after nearly 3 months wait. It came in a week after the dealer's original estimated delivery date. Keys were handed over 27 Sept; it was ordered 30 June. The bro and I are very impressed so far! As soon as it drys up outside I'll be taking some photos for the picture thread. Going to try and get the loan of a fish eye lens. Out of curiousity, has there been many others who've ordered the car in ivory?
  5. Sorry to hear that. You'd expect someone to take good care of your car whether it's new or not. Not good news. I think it'd be worth keeping a check on these eco tyres and reporting problems on the forums to see if they're more problematic than the vanilla ones.

    Citigo MPG

Ha ha. I also have a spreadsheet for fuel fill-ups. I can thank my dad for passing that habbit on to me.
  7. I'd at least like 1 call to follow up on the order. I ordered on a Saturday and was told by the salesman that he'd call me on Monday to let me know when to expect my car. The guy said he'd get a rough idea off the system Monday morning. I ended up calling him on Wednesday since he'd not phoned. I left word for him with another sale person but i took until Friday before he called me back. I've gotta say that the guy and garage as a whole were really helpful and patient when I was in looking at the car. I'd rather I wasn't having to chase them for the info after signing the documents. Maybe I'm impatient but I'm excited about my new car. The way I see it is he either forgot about me or the sytem takes a week before it gives you a date. Either way, why tell me he'd call Monday? :(
  8. What a carry on. Glad they sorted it for you.
  9. I see what you mean now. The front door does look odd. You'll just have to be careful and make sure you don't catch yourself on that sharp bit. :p Like this fella.
  10. For those with the entertainment pack, what's that MP3 player/iPod dock like? Does it look "stuck on" the dash and does it easily come out? It was one of the reasons I never added the entertainment pack. Aside from the additional 4 speakers I didn't really want that having the PID already on the dash.
  11. Yeah, I too was worried about the winter starts but by the sound of it, it won't switch on when the outsie temperature is low. Pleased to hear your Fabia is still going strong. I really hope to see my MPG almost double my Leon and start/stop should help.
  12. I don't care much for the guy's music but that car sounds pretty highly spec'd for not a lot of money (starting bid). I bet the sound system is awesome. I was considering was adding the rear speakers to my Citigo but I decided against it in the end. I hope the default speakers in the front do a decent job... I don't drive without music.
  13. You're not kidding greenstripe! I had a flick through the Owner's Handbook for some giggles. There is quite an extensive list of checks the computer performs before switching the engine off/on on page 67:-
  14. Looking forward to seeing some pics. It's a good day for it.
  15. "Posted Today, 00:20" ha ha. Very keen.
  16. They're decent pics, Greenstipe. Things always look best when captured early morning or late evening. I'm completely sold on the metallic green and how it catches the light. The tinted glass really seems to go well with it. I hope your misses loves it. Snap, we ordered a Spring Green 5dr Citigo on June 30th and the dealer has since told me to expect it "middle of the 3rd week in September".
  17. So how long will that make it from start to finish, if you have it in 10 days? You ordered a red Elegance with a few packs and what not, right?
  18. So I was searching the net for Citigo pictures that'd make a nice desktop and I came across these renders of a Citigo Scout. It's very similar to the image posted by VRS-Powered showing a render of a Citigo vRS. They all seem to be from the same guy, theophiluschin. What do you guys reckon of this yellow? Anyway, just thought I'd share.
  19. Looks great in white with the sunset glass. The green "go" (as in GreenTech) in Citigo really stands out on white too. I saw a very similar one in the flesh at Benfield Skoda in Newcastle.
  20. Interesting article. Good to see another Skoda victory. Not that the speed of the Citigo has been a deciding factor for me, or others I would imagine, it is interesting how they've chosen to use the sportier accessory options for the article. If they're gearing this towards people who are after a swift little motor then the article does confuse me a little. Perhaps it's just me. Either that or the way they write the articles is to make like for like comparisons difficult. The comparisons used for at least the speed is different across the pages. The Skoda page would have you believe that the car is the faster when compare to the Up!: So it's talking to 50-70mph. The Up! page tells you they cars are a match but it only mentions 0-60mph:
  21. I've been a member for a few years but I've never really got around to saying hello until now. Currently I'm driving a Sean Leon SX 5dr 1.6 16v '53 reg in metallic grey. This is 9 years old and has had very few problems. I love it to bits and hope to keep it until I can celebrate it's 10th birthday. I don't quite like the new Leon shape and if I were to have the choice (and money) I'd get an Octavia as a replacement. As it stands, I've shared this car with my brother for years. This can work perfectly fine as long as you're going to work at the same time and in the same direction. It saves fuel and money paying out for tax, insurance, etc. Things change and now is the time to add a second car to our home. I can't really call our next car my own until we trade in the Leon for another car. Who knows, maybe he'll get a white/yellow Citigo with tinted glass in a year or so... Whatever we chose had to be: small, below £10k, more fuel efficient, cheaper to tax, service and insure. Power/style alone doesn't really cut it for either of us. Over the last year we've toured the garages and considered the Toyota Yaris, AYGO & iQ, the Fiat 500 and of course the Skoda Fabia. We decided to hold off for the Citigo. It was a real shame when the Up! was released first. All I can say is I am so pleased we waited. We've got one on order and I am so looking forward to it! Finally, I'll be a Skoda owner, so now I feel like I can say hi.
