  1. Hmm, it's all just bits from the exisitng accessories bin. Since the UP! GT (108bhp, turbocharged) has also been announced as heading for production, I think I'll wait for the Citigo VeRSion of that instead…
  2. WBig Thumbs up for this guide Andy, cheers! Made replacing the sidelights a heck of a lot easier!
  3. Apologies for bumoping a month old thread, I've been meaning to post about this for a while. Before I go out to the car park and start bashing the rear windowframe, do I do this at the B Pillar side or back at the C-Pillar? [EDIT] Apologies again, I've seen this thread, just the ticket: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/117320-for-anyone-still-suffering-from-the-wind-noise-problem/page__st__40
  4. heading to killarney this weekend, so this is a non starter...
  5. Check with the lads on Vagdrivers.net, they'll surely know?
  6. I'm guessing these were models that were hacked into the game on the PC versions?
  7. Suzuki will probably not compete in WRC next year, I think JWRC is a bigger money maker for them, and the S1600 Swift is a proven platform. There's also talk that Monster Tajima will be stepping down from the role as team manager, and concentrating on the business side of Suzuki's Motorsports division. The coverage on Dave, while flawed, is still better than nothing, which is what I had before! Rally Ireland is also a big, big plus, we've been looking for a WRC round for years, so it's good to finally see the top level cars in the metal. It would be cool to see more International rallies, like the Targa Tasmania, featured as a round. Subaru are finally starting to turn things around, Dave Richards is in the game far too long to do anythign as drastic a pulling the plug just as they start to get results. I'm really looking forward to seeing what effect the S2000 rules bring, we'll see the likes of Fiat, Toyota, and even Dacia getting in on the act. Instead of picked new venues for competing, such as Jordan, which was not a financial success, they should be looking at some of the other big rallies that are not on the WRC calendar, like the Targa Tasmania.
  8. After a few laps last night in the Clio 197 I only managed a 9.51, but with lots of room for improvement! It's proving to be a lot of fun in the standard cars, especially when you figure out which corners can be taken flat out!
  9. Just managed a , 9.11 but in the A Class Pug 207, so I'll have another bash in a D class hatch. To recap: Car Class : D Car Type: Hatch Track : Nordschleife Aids allowed: Abs, Braking line only Mods allowed: None Arcade Free Run.
  10. This sounds cool! Just to clarify, it's any hot hatch, no mods, Free Run mode, any assists? I've a few D400 cars, but I can run a detuned one to fit the regs... GT is Insomniac787 if anyone wants to add me, my BB isn't good enough to connect for online racing, but it would be cool to compare times with ye!
  11. Cheers, Lads! there's a hell of a lot to take in, so many variations, I'm still laughing at how much more we're paying for our cars here. EG. 2001 Octy 1 110 TDI Elegance Estate, 79,000 miles - 4095 on PH (or €5100ish) VRT - €1118 ish Looking at carzone.ie, the only similar model here has about 120,000 on the clock and they're asking for €8500! Mental!
  12. Hi folks! A friend on octane.ie suggested that I check out your site, been a VW fan ever since I was a VDubling, and I'm interested in replacing the runabout with a Skoda RS or TDi in the next while (just as soon as I have this damn loan paid off!) I was checking out the prices in the Pistonheads classifieds, and I can't believe what good value that's out there! Even after I pay the dreaded VRT,it'll be cheaper to picked up an quick estate for a heck of a lot less than a GTi would cost locally! Anyways, I'm off to catch up on all the faqs and other newbie stuff, hope to talk to you soon!
